Alright food, so-so rest - Edit

It's located in a mall and somewhat dimly lit, which didn't make for a cozy atmosphere. The bean burger with potatoes and coleslaw was pretty good, but the portions were weird. The normal-sized burger was fine, but the coleslaw was in a bowl almost the size of a shot glass. My boyfriend had the rouladen; three tiny ones with a few veggies. We waited for about 40 minutes for the food, too. Staff was neither particularly friendly nor rude.

Amazing lunch - Edit

I have only tried Plevel once so far. I had soup, some veggie patties with mushroom sauce and rice. It all tasted absolutely amazing and was very filling (I felt full all the way until dinner). I have not seen the menu (you can only order lunch menu around lunch time), but I imagine the rest of the food is great as well.
Would not recommend this place for fancy eating out, but any day for a nice lunch / dinner with colleagues, friends etc.!

Pros: Amazing food, Friendly staff, Nice environment

Cons: A little expensive for a student

Amazing food, bad atmosphere - Edit

I ordered the spinach ravioli with tofu filling and sage sauce and my carnivore boyfriend ordered tempeh wraps with white carrot purée and caramellized onions. I absolutely adored!!! Both dishes, my boyfriend wasn't a fan of the white carrot purée though (maybe it has an acquired taste). The service was really good and the restaurant is in a very central location. The only thing that bothered us enough to not come back and experience more of their delicious meals was the atmosphere. Plevel is located in a closed building, so no sunshine. The walls are all painted in black and feels very gloomy inside. But the worst thing about the atmosphere was the costumers. I am sorry to sound judgemental but they made us feel really uncomfortable and out of place. They were dressed with torn clothes (or no shirts at all), had piercings and...You get it...

Pros: Delicious food, large portions, Location, Good service

Cons: Atmosphere

Mixed review - Edit

We came here mostly because it was close to our hotel. I had the burger, fries and coleslaw and thought it very good. My wife thought her food was a little too heavy so I ate it -what can you do. The restaurant is clean and pleasant but not caught up in the tourist rush of Prague if that is what you are looking for.

Pros: Good food, Clean restaurant , Prompt service

what a let down - Edit

this is a vegan restaurant but the staff was not particularly friendly and food was a let down . I ordered the soup and gnocchi..but sorry to say that it was probably the worse vegan meal IV had in Europe. maybe it was a wrong choice of dish...but the menu looked quite unappealing too.

not as good as expected - Edit

I went there today for dinner. After a long day of exploring the city my friends and I were quite hungry. After arriving at Plevel the first thing I've noticed is that the atmosphere of this restaurant isn't that nice. It seemed kind of empty and cold. I would recommend adding more details to make it cozier!!
Also the food wasn't as good as expected. My friend had the bean burger with potatoes and coleslaw. The sauce was fantastic and also the potatoes were great but the burger bun was very hard and tasted kind of old which was dissapointing.
I had the spinach ravioli filled with tofu which tasted kind of blend. Also they were a bit too oily for my taste and left me hungry afterwards. My other friend had the raw lasagna which tasted nice but she wasn't satisfied too.
The food wasn't expensive at all but I really don't know if I will come back...

Pros: inexpensive

Cons: cold atmosphere, little portions

Fantastic - Edit

Nice staff. Not expensive at all!
The food was fantastic, we had ravioli and the soja fileet with potatodumplings. The potatodumplings were perfect att the orange/beetroot mashup delicious. I wish i had more time in prague so i had time to eat there again!

Cons: Maybe not so fun surroundings.

Mindblowing food - Edit

Even better than the Plevel Krimska :) We ate soup of the day, starter- beetroot tatar, two mean dishes- "Cuban Tofu" and lemonade and beer. we payed around 500-600czk. Everything was soo DELICIOUS! Especially beetroot tatar was amazing! Good location- in the city centre, inside was very cosy, nice staff!

Pros: extraordinary FOOD!, staff, location

Delicious starters, tasty main courses - Edit

During our stay in Prague we had lunch there. I had a salad with a delicious dressing and my sister had the beetroot tartar with truffe sauce which was delicious! Her raw spaghetti were really good and I liked my bean mousse with seasonal vegetables in Indian style very much! I can highly recommand this restaurant.

Pros: Nice atmosphere

Cons: Hidden in a passage

Pretty good - Edit

We came here for lunch. They have a nice menu with diverse options.

We had a terrine/pate as a starter, which was really tasty and innovative - this was the most memorable dish for me. For our main dishes, we had a raw lasagna and chili with rice. The dishes were tasty, but not something that I would crave. I would probably sample a few other veg spots in town before returning here.

Pros: Variety, Interesting options

Delicious lasagna and ravioli! - Edit

This was down a little corridor and across from some less appealing looking businesses, so it didn't have a great location or the most relaxing decor. However, it had an enticing menu and the raw zucchini lasagna had delicious, flavorful pesto and tomato sauces — very satisfying. The spinach ravioli was tasty too. We were glad we went in and gave it a try.

Pros: great menu, great flavor

Cons: inside a strip mall type location

Great little place - Edit

Nice food, quick and friendly service. Especially the (raw) desserts were very tasty. We payed less than 50 euros for 3 3 course meals. Highly recommended.

Pros: Good food, Good prize

Cons: Location

Great Restaurant, tasty food - Edit

We had a starter (banana soup with chilli), main dishes and a very good "mascarpone" cake as desert and we can highly recommand the reastaurant.
We would love to have such a good vegan restaurant in our hometown..

Pros: Tasty Food, Cheap !, Friendly staff

nice vegan restaurant - Edit

located in a small passage in the city center, this vegan restaurant offers some nice choices.
the menu is rather small, there are 2 daily (or weekly?) options for lunch.
we liked our choices very much, the portion of my boyfriend was rather small, though.
they also offer raw options and desserts, which looked great.
my herbal tea was made from fresh herbs - appreciated a lot!

Pros: good food, city center

Great lunch menu - Edit

Right in the city centre, a small but cozy place with selection of both vegan and raw meals. The lunch menu during the week is of good value and tasty as well. The service was very quick and professional, but friendly.

Pros: Good value, Good food, Friendly staff

Plevel no.2 is a pleasant surprise! - Edit

I tried not to compare Plevel (Weed in English) on Jindřišská with Plevel on Krymská, but it is hard to avoid the comparison.
I need to admit that I was really surprised, because I had prejudices that the "brother Plevel" will be little bit worse (WHY???). There is only one worse thing and that is the outside appearance of the restaurant because it is situated in the passage, so it looks...strange? But the location next to the metro station exit is really great and reachable for many vegan tourists and citizens of Prague as well.

The stuff was very nice and fast, I got my beer so fast that I could not even blink of an eye.
I ordered traditional Slovak food Halušky, which was really delicious and tasty. This meal was overpriced for me, bacuse it is really cheap to make it, but it was nicely served in nice interior so I don´t give a @.
It was possible to pay by card so my satisfaction of all experince was fullfiled. (Need to admit that it is still not the normal thing to pay by card in Czech Republic. :)

In conclusion, I´m telling you that it´s really worth to visit Plevel on Jindřišská. It is on the same level as the older brother is. Is hard to say which one is better, so I leave this idea for other reviewers. But I think that you will be always satisfied. :)

Pros: tasty good loking food, fast service

Cons: overpriced for normal people

Disappointed - Edit

We went in the day and they offered us a menu that they had. I asked for a tofu with a pate and some vegetables and when the food comes, I thought it was a joke. It was really small.

One of the two girls that were there was a little rude, she never offered us anything to drink and she wanted to take out our dishes before we were finishing.

I looked to another table and there was a couple eating a better menu, with potatoes and brocoli, but it was too late.

We had to go to another place to buy food because we were starving.

Pros: place is ok, inexpensive

Cons: small portions, quite hard to find

super central, shouldn't be a secret - Edit

This is a great place and should get more visitors than it does. Some great, creative entrees deserts and a friendly atmosphere. It's also open a bit later than most other veg restaurants in the city, making it a great place for a relaxed dinner. As mentioned, the restaurant is down a passage, so you need to enter and turn the corner to go in.

Pros: creative, delicious, central

Cons: location is a bit tricky, somewhat pricey

Food and beer in the centre - Edit

Went there once during Prague visit, got soup and goulash, both tasty, but not extraordinary. Service and place was great. Few steps from Wenceslas square and few minutes by foot from Main train station.

Pros: Tasty, Location, Service

Gulasch - Edit

Went here with my travelling companion. We had 2 courses each and a draft beer each all for 500 czk inc 10% tip. The starters were good but the mains were exceptional. I had the gulasch, the flakey texture of the soyprotein was superb and overall it was a really hearty dish! highly recommended! Superb servis!

Pros: Lots of different options, Very cheap

Great place! - Edit

Good prices, amazing food. My partner and I went there for breakfast this morning and tried 3 out of 4 options. The buckwheat porridge, raw pancakes and the English breakfast. Also got a coffee and homemade blueberry lemonade which was amazing! All were 10/10. The lady working was extremely friendly and made is feel very welcome. Looking forward to being here for a few days and trying their lunch options!

Pros: Delicious food, Good choices, Great service + good prices!

Friendly, tasty and doesn't kill the pocket! - Edit

I have just had a very nice, 4-course meal at this place and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced and tasty vegan food. The staff were very friendly and helpful and honest; their recommendations were not based on price. I had a really nice portobello mushroom starter with salad, asparagus soup with amazing piece of focaccia bread, quinoa and cauliflower steak and a raw chocolate cheesecake (well, I was very hungry!). Left my plates empty! Yum!

Pros: Friendly staff, Nice and nicely presented food, Good value

Cons: In a shopping mall with no natural light

Very delicious food! - Edit

Plevel has 2nd spot in centre of Prague that is very close to main Vaclavske namesti / square and it wasnt problem to find. This place is situated in a passage so it is a quite dark here without any touch of sun but it is the only disadvantage I noticed. However it is very sweet place with very nice staff and very delicious food. They have lunch menu in both raw vegan or just vegan (cooked food) version. I have tried appetizer, soup and main course as well and I was very surprised with the taste. It was soo tasty. I was very satisfied so I didn't try any dessert but I will for sure next time I'll visit this place. Recommended!;))))

Great find in the city centre - Edit

Plevel is in a little shopping centre right in the city centre, so it's perfectly situated if you're out sightseeing. I stopped by three times during my visit: for breakfast, for an evening meal and for a cake stop. All three times the food and service were spot on. I just loved it! The English breakfast was lovely (except for some decidedly un-English coleslaw on the plate), and the evening meal was a real treat. The raw spring rolls are gigantic, and should be shared by two people. The beetroot burger was equally gigantic, and as such a little tricky to eat: the traditional Czech gnocchi dish was much better. And the banana caramel cake is highly recommended!

Pros: Creative menu, Great service, Good value for money

best vegan food in Prague! - Edit

We have tried several vegan places in Prague during our stay, and this is the one we'll definitely return to. The restaurant has a nice menu with began as well as raw dishes and there are daily suggestions. The food is not only delicious and healthy, but also presented with care. The staff is very forthcoming and advises you in the menu options. My favourite is the raw beetroot quiche with dill.

Pros: nice vegan and raw selection

Lovely Place - Edit

I liked this place a lot. They have fresh and healthy food and drinks. The staff was very helpful and friendly, too. I would like the prizing range to be changed to "moderate" instead of "inexpensive" though, since it is not "inexpensive" compared to other places in town and the portions are rather small.

Pros: Great Options, Cozy Place, Nice Staff

Cons: Prices are rather "moderate"

Good evening option - Edit

Whilst Prague has a wonderful choice of vegan restaurants, it has been a bit annoying on occasion that the ones open early or past 22h are far from the city centre. Therefore I was very excited to discover that Plevel have a new central restaurant open for breakfast, from 9, remaining open through until 23h. I visited alone in the evening and found a generally welcoming atmosphere, although the servers were quite impatient with my foreign pronounciation! The menu is bilingual in English and Czech, so I imagine that all the staff speak at least some English. The choice was not quite as large as it was at the other Plevel venue, but the food I ordered – a beetroot burger with potato wedges followed by carrot cake – was fresh and delicious, as was the beer. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for being central, open late, not needing a reservation, being fully vegan with a high quality and good portion sizes, and also for being good value for money – a main, a desert and two beers cost 344czk (approx. 13 Euro).

Pros: location, fully vegan

Good vegan food. - Edit

Came here after trying 3 of the more established vegan/vegetarian restaurants in the centre of Prague.
In my opinion it isn't as good but don't let that put you off, the food is nice , good quality just hasn't got the choice that the other establishments have.
I had the hummus which was nice but it my view would have been even better with pitta or bread as there weren't sufficient crackers to mop up the hummus. My main was the nut gnocchi option, again nice but lacking something to soak up the sauce.
The write up on happy cow is slightly misleading as it says there are western staples on the menu such as spaghetti and fries which there aren't, not a criticism just an observation that if you had been looking forward to fries that were guaranteed vegan they aren't actually on the menu.

Pros: 100% vegan, central location, lovely setting

Cons: bit too healthy for me but that's just personal pr, didn't like the homemade lemonade.
