Holy cow, amazing

Wow, this was just amazing

At first we were a bit jealous as there’s maybe 50 items on the menu only 10 of which are vegan, but each one was mesmerising and beautiful. Friendly staff, clearly marked vegan wines, awesome atmosphere across all the different floors, each a bit different. Can’t recommend enough and particularly happy there’s food this good here in Preston

Pros: Gorgeous food, Ambience, Staff

Amazing food

Great food for vegans and meat eaters. The meat eaters preferred the vegan options too.

Pros: Good options , Large portions of tapas , Friendly staff

Cons: Can be expensive , Drink service can be slow , When busy it can be a tight squeeze

Disappointed with evening menu.

We have been eating at Plau for over a year now. The vegan options have improved and we were excited to try the vegan steak sandwich on the lunchtime menu. We’ve had this twice now and it’s phenomenal, as good as the Beyond Meat burger! However I was going to eat here with a friend during the evening and I was disappointed that the vegan steak sandwich isn’t on the evening menu, in fact there’s nothing I’d call a ‘protein’ option for vegans at all. Several chip and potato options, a parsnip pakora, olives, broccoli popcorn, and a carrot dish. Yet there were 11 meat and fish options. I asked if I could order the vegan steak for the evening and was told no. The evening menu is ‘small’ plates and they recommend three plates per person. So they’ve lost one star for lacking a vegan pie or tart or chickpea/lentil or alt meat option on the night menu, but it’s worth calling at lunch time for that vegan steak sandwich.

Pros: The vegan steak sandwich is worth calling in for, Nice surroundings., Lots of drink options.

Cons: Minimum £6.50 for a small vegan plate., Vegan evening options nice but lack a protein., Drinks don’t state if vegan.

Gorgeous food, absolutely stuffed!

Visited Plau as in Preston and saw it recommended with good selection of vegan options.
Came with the intention of leaving with a food baby! Had the Vedgeree and then Vegan Mince & Bean Tacos with a lovely Cappuccino made with oat milk. Friendly staff and food was gorgeous, will definitely visit again very soon.
If I could give 5 stars, I would.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Quick & friendly service, Lovely niche place

Cons: None!

Good vegan food

Lots of vegan choice and staff were very good at clarifying if things were or were not vegan. The food itself was amazing and tasty. A great place to go if you have non vegan friends and family

Pros: Nice staff, Choice

Cons: More dessert options needed
