Wonderfully welcoming

I’ve not really taken much notice of the Deliciously Ella brand to date, generally preferring to avoid vegan products I see as a bit pretentious or pimped ……. however, we were stuck for somewhere to lunch today so went to Plants. And what a wonderful surprise it was! Such a fabulous eatery: lovely friendly staff, really relaxed atmosphere and utterly delicious food! Good size portions and, for London, very reasonably priced - a bit of a revelation for me all round so I’m definitely going to have a look at DE’s cookery books now!

Pros: Fabulous food , Friendly staff, Relaxed atmosphere

Cons: Nothing

Superb food, atmosphere and staff

Took my sister-in-law as a treat and we loved the food, the location, the staff were lovely and the gluten free options outnumbered the gluten options on the menu - which is rare

Pros: The menu, The gluten free variety, The setting

Cons: The table tops were wobbly!

Good food

A nice cafe on a corner just in Mayfair, behind Oxford street. A small terrace outside and nice food with friendly staff. Only downside that it was quite expensive for what you’ll get.
We had breakfast and lunch here and would recommend for somebody in London who wants to eat vegan 😊

Pros: Friendly staff , Nice location

Cons: Expensive, Sour oatmilk

Delicious ;)

I was there for breakfast and got the Avocado Toast and a cappuccino. It was the best Avocado Toast I ever had! The staff was very friendly, too. Will come back when I’m in London again.

Pros: Fully vegan, Nice staff

Delicioso

El risotto y la pasta son mis favoritos, sabores muy ricos! Si vienes de latinoamerica el precio te resultará elevado pero vale la pena.

Pros: Comida , Postre

Cons: El servicio un poco lento para ordenar

Very underwhelming

As fans of Ella's food range and cookbooks we were looking forward to eating at Plants. Unfortunately it really missed the mark. Juice drinks were very watery and lacked flavour, pancakes and porridge were very average and felt flavour combinations were off.
The staff were also slow and unattentive despite the restaurant being quiet. Unfortunately would not return.

A bit disappointing

I was expecting a lot more for the price. Small portions, rather greasy. Won’t be coming back

One of my favorites!

I love breakfast, lunch, and dinner here! The sourdough they have at dinner is sooo good just be careful not to fill up on it😄They also have a date and almond shake that makes for an amazing dessert.

Had an ok dinner don’t know if I’d go back

I’m a huge fan of the deliciously Ella cookbooks but didn’t find my dinner anything special. Not much flavor to the pasta and was a little bit too Al dente.
Expensive for what it is.

Pros: Location, Staff were nice

Cons: Expensive for what you get, Bathroom door needs to be changed

Big portions, amazing service

I ordered harissa and garlic butterbeans with garlic & chili sautéed rainbow chard on pan-fried garlicky sourdough, for breakfast. It was delicious and the portion was bigger than I expected! The staff was exceptionally friendly

Pros: Service, Big portions

Over hyped

Tried the fried aubergine dish, vegetable fritters and smashed potatoes. Out of the three, the only thing that stood out was the dipping sauce that came with the potatoes. I was prepared to have my mind blown. Sadly that was not the case. It was also pretty expensive for what it is (flavor vs value).

Posh place where you won't be let in with kids

Came with a group of 3 adults and 2 kids. Got told the place was booked out although it most obviously wasn't. Guess we weren't posh enough and had kids on top!

Cons: Posh, Arrogant , Child-unfriendly

Deliciously Ella

Having been an avid fan of the Deliciously Ella cookbooks for years, I’ve finally got round to visiting this place. I went at lunchtime and had the roasted cauliflower with a broccoli side dish, cooked to perfection with loads of natural flavour and decent size portions that left me feeling full.

Attentive staff, really pretty decor, the only downside was the price, I still gave it 5 stars because I went there knowing full well I was gonna pay through the nose.

Lovely place

I went there for breakfast and had an oat cappuccino plus a Creamy Greens smoothie. I really loved the smoothie - it was indeed very creamy and smooth but would have just wished for it to be a bigger portion size (as a follower of Ella and her App I found the portions in her smoothie recipes to be much bigger).
The place itself is lovely and I really appreciate the variety of dishes on the menu. The staff was really friendly, too.

Pros: 100% vegan - many options, Lovely interior, Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive

Shopping break!

Popped in for something to eat and a coffee, it's so near to Bond St/Oxford St so very handy. We had the tomato falafel, hummus, and turmeric roasted cauliflower. Loved it. Feels like healthy clean eating, and will go back next time I go shopping there.

Popped in for a 2nd time for a coffee break and a sweet treat. Great service, coffee and a delightful brownie. Would definitely come back again.

Very very flavourful!

Went for a late lunch. The place is cosy and the staff very friendly. We had the porcini, smoked dill and potato soup and the crispy tempura aubergine. Both were superbly well prepared and really flavourful! Really pleasant surprise.
It is expensive (also the location), though, so I would only give 5* if the food was outstanding. Fortunately, it was.

Pros: Outstanding flavours, Cosy place, Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive

Maybe we had too high expectations..

We booked for breakfast, it was 3 savoury options and 4 sweet and we aren’t into sweets so had beans and mushrooms. Both came with ‘pan fried bread’ which seemed nice but was absolutely oil dripping like fried in too cold oil. It seemed like a nice seedy bread but not edible. Mushrooms were a bit cold, but tasty. I’m sad to only give 4* but it just didn’t impress us, that’s even ignoring the cost…

Pros: Their lunch menu looks much better than breakfast, Lovely setting, Granola bars with receipt

Cons: Price didn’t reflect the quality of food, Staff were unenthusiastic

Very nice food. Must book

Finally managed to try Plants. It’s always booked up and I never have a reservation. Got lucky after waiting at an outside table. The staff is just lovely. I had a kale Caesar salad (no romaine if that’s your preference) and it was delicious. Plenty of dressing. Nice mixture of textures and the kale was very well massaged. Location is unbeatable.

Lunch after shopping

Called in for lunch as we were in the area and saw reviews on here. I had the Caesar salad and my wife had the pickled sea salt and vinegar potatoes. Both were fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Pros: Great menu

Cons: More expensive than my normal lunch
