The best vegan food in England - Edit
I’ve been ordering from Plantopia for years now. It’s always my comfort place and every dish is amazing. I can’t recommend one specific thing as I’ve had it all and it all bangs. Peanut skewers are a must and the insanity burger will blow your brains out.

Best vegan food in St Albans! - Edit
Delicious, freshly cooked food. Korean chick'n burger was especially good. Pick up is easy, but they are on Deliveroo if you need it. Slight delay with order but was rectified satisfactorily. There is not a massive choice of vegan food in St Albans other than the usual chain restaurants and Plantopia, I believe, is the only dedicated vegan place, so worth supporting if you're local.

The double smashed cheeseburger with added facon is out of this world, so good!! Big portion of tasty fries included, they deliver and food is still hot on arrival. So good to have a fully vegan place in St Alban's too, there's so many options. Highly recommend!

We collected within 20 mins of ordering online, enjoyed the curb-side collection and ate in a nearby park. The food was plentiful, great value and very tasty. Loved all the different options making it difficult to choose but ensuring we will be back soon. Be warned the buffalo sauce is very spicy, and the insanity sauce was....insanely spicy!

I hadn't heard about this place before, but thanks to HappyCow I'm glad I checked while passing through. Best takeaway food I've had in a while. I ordered the katsu curry, side of buffalo wings and chocolate cake. It all tasted simply amazing! Have to make sure I'm in the area again to try out some other dishes.
Read moreAs a side note; it's not very clear where the actual place is (atleast to me), but if you follow instructions on where to park when placing order for collection and call when you arrive they'll bring it out to you.

If you don’t reside in St Albans go elswhere. - Edit
Really unclear that there isn’t a shop to pick food up from. Also not very good at picking up the phone…. Eventually they called when I made my way back into town, the bloke seemed friendly and apologetic but still didn’t offer us the option to collect or deliver. Probably great for people living in St Albans, but if you’re just visiting perhaps try elsewhere to avoid the confusion.

We had a lovely meal from Plantopia - particularly loved the bang bang skewers. They were tasty and well seasoned. The satay sauce was insane. Loved the pesto pasta too! The mango coconut and corriander curry was tasty but could do with less oil.

We got a takeaway- had the bang bang skewers which were absolutely delicious! Then the pasta alla nonna which was one of the best vegan pesto pasta I've had. Finally the mango coconut and coriander curry which was very tasty, with a lovely soft naan.

Recommend the lunch deal during the week - makes it really good value for money.

What can I say, only 9 months following vegan culinary delights, I have missed only two things 1, toasted Cheese & Ham sandwiches and 2, Flame grilled cheese burger with burger sauce with all the trimmings!
