Only went once - Edit
I’ve had the chorizo pizza and it was good. I enjoyed the crust and the topping it came with. I haven’t tried anything else yet there but I would like to visit again.

Excellent service, fantastic food - Edit
I dined early on a Wednesday night, so it was not very busy. Service was stellar. I asked for recommendations and regret I veered from some of them because the recs I went with were phenomenal. The eggplant nigiri was so good as an appetizer that when I didn't love the main dish I ordered (carbonara was a bit too salty and coconut flavored for my taste), I put in a second order. The bao bun was also very good. Got the lychee cocktail up (instead of how it comes on rocks) and a decaf espresso martini -both chefs kiss.
Read moreLots of menu options plus monthly and happy hour specials that it would take many visits to try all the amazing options available.
Pros: Many thoughtfully crafted options, Great service, Presentation
Cons: Carbonara -salty and heavy on coconut for my taste, Vanilla ice cream had coconut flavor -not my jam

Good - Edit
I had the lettuce cups and a glass of nonalcoholic wine. I wish there was more protein on the menu. I can get vegan carbs lots of places but vegan protein is harder to come by. Their menu had a house made burger but it was made of beans. And there was a small amount of tempeh or tofu in a couple items. Hopefully they add a more protein rich option. The nonalcoholic wine was fantastic.

Tried and true - Edit
Planta is a classic vegan chain with multiple locations across multiple cities. You can't go wrong with the Atlanta location. Quality food and service. A couple of paid parking garages nearby. My only gripe is that they're often out of exclusive monthly items.

Incredible food with plenty of options - Edit
My husband and I came here on our wedding night. The atmosphere was classy and the staff were very kind and attentive. The food is beyond yummy. A super great spot for a nice date. We visited again today and had lunch outside and it was a place for a casual but nice meal as well, not only for special occasions. So so good!

Fine dining - Edit
Enjoyed the fine dining atmosphere. Also, hours are good. The food is thoughtful and interesting, but all dishes were overly sweet, even the pizza (which used sweetened dough). Did not enjoy that part.

I came here for my birthday dinner and tried a lot of their dishes and desserts. Everything was really good, but expensive. I would definitely recommend their pizza and anything on their monthly exclusive menus

Upscale Atlanta Goodness - Edit
PLANTA is the type of place that feels very upscale and very Atlanta (with the prices to match) but fully vegan! The appetizers were great especially the spinach artichoke dip and the bang bang broccoli. The sushi was great too. My absolute favorite was the banana pudding. It was an April special with caramel sauce, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings and a small piece of vanilla cake on top! So yummy!!!
Read moreWhat I didn’t like was the service. It’s slow and I personally don’t mind if my server only comes a few times because I get to enjoy my dinner mates, but our bar drinks either came late or not at all as well as some of the food we ordered. Our table was not cleared when switching to different courses, and I had to find our server at least twice to pay the tab and figure out where our food was after a canned beer took over 30 minutes to arrive. A few things I ended up asking the server to cancel as they still hadn’t arrived and we had been at the restaurant for hours! Things like that can sour an experience, but overall it was positive.

Sunday Brunch - Edit
Planta has a lovely space by Krog St Market. The decor is modern, fresh, and comfortable. The entire menu is Plant Based. They identify those items containing nuts and that contain gluten. Our meal was delicious and they offer bottomless cocktails during brunch service.

Nice experience - Edit
Staff was nice, however an item ordered took close to 30 min to receive. All in all good experience in a nice location. Pizza was just ok and would not recommend. My wife had the chik and waffles - very good. $30 weekday lunch special (appetizer/entre/desert)-good deal considering upscale place.

Amazing every time - Edit
I previously visited the Planta in Miami Beach and was amazed and am so excited that they are expanding. Krog market in Atlanta is such a fun experience but difficult to find vegan options. Planta provides that and awesome service. We had the best bartender even though I can't remember her name and enjoyed the company of every other Planta member we came in contact with. Love all of the sushi rolls and hand rolls and were pleasantly surprised by how good the burger was! We will definitely be back. (And are excited about the one opening in the Buckhead area). I love that they make vegan food that isn't reliant on heavy oils/frying or alternative meats.
Read moreAlso wanted to add that if you've been plant based for any period of time that you realize how much work and money goes into providing food this good. You aren't just buying impossible meat or making salads. These are well thought out meals that need some expensive ingredients and talented cooks. Worth every penny.

Good, tho pricey - Edit
The food was delicious. We really enjoyed everything we got, tho most items did seem to have a bit of a kick. The spice level was too high for my mother in law. The menu is pricey, but they have weekly deals that seem to be super worth taking advantage of. For instance on Mondays after 5 all their sushi is $8 each, and the sushi is good. Looking forward to going back and trying more on the menu. Staff was also very nice and ambiance is cool. They also do the weird pricing where they don’t show you the bill/total, but the server just stands there and waits for some sort of payment. Makes it awkward for splitting the bill.

If you order the vegan omelette, you are leaving hungry. - Edit
We went a brunch because I wanted the omelette. The $20 omelette was good but it was a thin pile of something close to Just Egg. It tasted good. There were 3 small pieces of bread and a half of an avocado. I got mine and ate it before my husband got his french toast. His french toast for a similar price was 2 large pieces of french toast with a berry sauce, whipped cream, maple syrup and cornflakes with sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla baked into them. He couldn't finish it and shared with me or I would have left hungry. The Planta burger was delivered to the table next to us. The tables were so close we were practically sitting next to the people on both sides of us. It was like being in a cafeteria. The Planta burger was huge with a plate full of fries. The service was great. The service did feel like fine dining.

I went for brunch. The dragon roll sushi was definitely the best part of the meal. Monkey bread and 1000 layer potatoes just okay. Bottomless mimosa/sake sangria seem to be a good value. Overall, worth checking out.

Delicious brunch! - Edit
Hours are wrong in happy cow- they’re open like 11am for weekend brunch. I loved coming for dinner too! Love that there’s a vegan brunch place in Atlanta now! Monkey bread and fried mushroom “chickun” and waffles was so good. And the Vietnamese iced coffee was a treat. It’s hard to find vegan versions of that elsewhere!

Plant Power Lunch - Edit
Oh wow. The ice cold Matcha at Planta ATL is exquisite. I’m a fan of Planta in Bethesda, Md and can now enjoy the vegan restaurant in Atlanta when I come to visit. We had the dragon rolls, nachos with potato and carrot based cheese, boa sliders, and tofu lettuce wraps. Absolutely amazing cuisine and sexy, mature ambiance.

MAKE RESERVATIONS. Don't do what my friend and I did: rolled up for Maki Monday without a reservation only to be turned away. Two weeks later we made reservations and rolled up with my parents and brother in tow (all three non-veg).
Read moreThe music here is very loud, to the point that my 68 yr old father struggled to hear us speaking even after we asked them to turn down the volume (which to their credit they did immediately). They're also really popular and were fully booked when we went, so the blaring music felt especially unnecessary.
Planta uses physical menus (nice) but only has what's nut free labeled. Any other restrictions and you need to tell your server, who'll take your menu and manually mark up which things are a no-go, which things could be modified for you, and which things are fine as-is. I like this concept for more specific allergies like alliums and the like, but it would be easy to add small gluten free, soy free, etc labels to speed up the ordering process, especially when they're super busy and you have to wait for your server for a good long while.
We ordered the thousand layer potatoes and nachos as apps. Potatoes were delicious but TINY (like four 1 inch cubes) and definitely not worth $14. Nachos were great and worth it.
Entrees: I got the udon noodles, GF friend got the udon noodles GF, bro got the chorizo pizza, dad got the burger with fries, mom got the burger with a salad. The udon was great: rich, creamy, and filling. The GF udon was served with GF penne pasta. They should've mentioned this when we ordered but it was still good. Chorizo pizza was pretty good (mom liked it more than bro did) but nothing special. Burgers were good, fries were better and there were a ton of them, salad was literally lettuce leaves and a couple slim slices of red onion with a little dressing.
Desserts were great! We got the key lime cheesecake (it's gluten free) and the big cookie and both were delicious. It is truly a huge cookie, served warm and gooey.
I'd probably only return for lunch (in hopes that it would be less busy) or dinner out on their patio in the cooler months.

Amazing Food - Edit
This place was amazing. We split two entrees, a sushi roll, and an appetizer. Everything was delicious. The pizza was the best vegan pizza I've ever had. I swear I will dream about that bang bang broccoli...it was delicious. Every item was phenomenal. For a nicer end restaurant, I thought the prices were pretty good, and the staff was great. I would definitely return.
