the best vegan food on Long Island! - Edit
My husband and I were so excited to find an oil-free vegan eatery on Long Island and even happier when we saw the great portion sizes and tasted the delicious food! This is a restaurant that skips the processed vegan stuff and prepares healthy, straight from the earth meals that have the warmth and love of a home cooked meal. They also have juices, smoothies, and parfaits!
We've been here three times and tried wraps, salads, bowls, combos, parfaits, and hot chocolate. We love it all!
Definitely try the kale caesar and the tomato chickpea combo. It's my personal favorite. My husband loves the buttercup (peanut butter chocolate) parfait with coconut, almond slices, and hempseeds on top.
Pros: healthy, delcious, fair prices
Cons: I can't travel here by clicking my red heels t

Plant Strong - Edit
Having had to go out to Long Island, it was so nice to discover this little café/restaurant in a part of the world where there is a dearth of vegan eateries. They serve everything from fresh juices and light snacks, to creatively-concocted salads to full meals (what they call "strong bowls"), along with soups, deserts and combo dishes. The food is excellent, well-prepared and very tasty. Healthy too! No bad ingredients. Very friendly service, and the place is cozy an attractive. Definitely worth seeking out. Some practical advice: don't confuse Deer Park Road with East Deer Park Road--where the restaurant is located--or you might wind up driving to the other side of Long Island. East Deer Park Road is at the first light (make a left turn) as you travel south on Deer Park Road from Route 25 (Jericho Turnpike). You'll see Plant Strong on the right, almost at the end of East Deer Park Road, inside a small shopping complex.
Pros: tasty, creative, healthy food, very friendly service, cozy and attractive eatery
Cons: none

Impressive - Edit
As a newbie vegan I was happy to have discovered this place 10 minutes from my home. It is clean, staff is very friendly and there are a host vegan options to choose from. Some of which can be customized such as the salads and smoothies. I bought the Avocado Quinoa Salad (includes avocado mash, tomato, arugula, quinoa and Dijon vinaigrette dressing) and the Golden Sun Smoothie (orange, banana and mango). Tasty, affordable and guilt-free dining. I would definitely eat here again.
Pros: Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options
Cons: Eating area is rather small

I've been wanting to go to this all vegan cafe for a while. This is their chickpea masala bowl. It comes with baby spinach, quinoa, chickpea masala, (2) baked falafel, & sunflower seed dressing on the side. The owners & staff are super friendly & knowledgable on the menu

Awesome - Edit
This place has a set up that allows you to create your own meals, kind of like chipotle, except all of the choices are vegan. Also, they make smoothies, that can also be personalized. The staff is friendly, the foods amazing and healthy, and its awesome to finally have a healthy, delicious vegan option on long island. Definitely a must try, whether you're vegan or not.
Pros: Fast, Good Value, Great food
Cons: a little small
