Not amazing but still good!

It was very nice! It's a small space but it's always awesome to have a fully vegan menu. It says they are able to make items gluten free but not for 100% of items. I got a pumpkin latte that was DELICIOUS, the coconut whipped cream was such a treat on top. My non-vegan friends got sandwiches and liked them. I had called in advance for both gluten free/vegan baked goods but they only have them specific days of the week. Sad I missed out on those! They did have vegan cookies though when I went.

Pros: Fully vegan

Cons: Not clear with gluten free options

Small portions for the price

The food is tasty, and vegan, but the portion sizes are very small considering the price. Location is great.

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Expensive

Loved the food and I'm not even vegan

Was visiting some friends in London, ON from Toronto. Checked out this cute, vegan cafe for brunch. Had their curry bowl over white rice. It was so savory and flavorful! Great portion size and amazing service! The staff were so welcoming and sweet! Would return when I'm in town again for sure! Highly recommended!

Pros: Great, tasty food (non-vegans would love it)!, Friendly staff, Clean

Food was ok, portions too small for the price

Decided to grab lunch from Plant Matter Cafe (formerly The Ground Up) and decided to get the T.L.T wrap. It was so small, it probably wouldn’t even fill a child. There was little to no lettuce, small bits of soggy tempeh and I don’t think there was any tomato. Very disappointing for the $17 I paid with tax. The side Caesar salad however was OK, but not great.

Pros: Conveniently downtown London , Caesar salad was OK

Cons: Price, Small portion , Food quality

great food but high prices

I’ve only been once, and it was when this place was known as the ground up. The food was great but far to expensive for the small portions. I bought the waffle special and only got one waffle, with three berries on the side and it cost 11 dollars. I think I’ll try going back and look for cheaper options on the menu.

My favourite breakfast spot

Every time I visit London, I go here a few times. It's the perfect breakfast spot, and even better if you can snag the cozy couch area. I love all the brunch options and have tried a few desserts and wraps too. The coconuck (coffee) drink is amazing! My partner is obsessed with the Scramwich on homemade English muffin. My faves are the breakfast bowl and waffles.
We've been with my rambunctious 3 year old and they love it too.

Pros: Chill space/great vibe, Kid friendly, Great food!

Just right!

I felt this place had a great balance between atmosphere and tasty food. I also met the owner, Steve, which is a humble and passionate person - his great traits are reflected in his great food options.

A must visit!

We stumbled across this gem when looking for something different than our normal vegan hot spots in London and we definitely we not disappointed! Cute place right on Richmond Row, delicious food, helpful and welcoming staff and the perfect place to spend a bit of time enjoying others company. We enjoyed our meal so much that we ordered take-out to bring home with us. By far the best vegan food we've had in London and have many plans to return here in the near future!

Pros: Delicious, Cozy and welcoming atmosphere, Many options

Vegan Homerun

Never disappointed at the Ground Up Cafe. I really dig their TLT breakfast sandwich, chilli cheese fries, soups, green smoothies and rainbow wrap. The staff are great too. Ground Up Cafe is a Richmond Row homerun.

Pros: Fresh, Delicious , Great Staff

Excellent!

This cozy little cafe is centrally located in London with friendly staff and a welcoming environment. I had the tempeh sandwich on the in-house made English muffin with cashew garlic aolia and I was thrilled with the taste. This place is aces. Highly recommended.

Pros: All vegan, Tasty, Convenient location

Cons: Parking
