Vegan cafe with great attention to details

Plant-Holic will be closed at the end of 2019 unfortunately.

This cafe is one of the best in Okinawa I’ve had on this trip. The food is carefully prepared with great ingredients. They use locally sourced vegetables that is grown by the natural cultivation method, which means no pesticides, fertilizer (natural or chemical) are used. The farm is called Moringa Farm if you are interested.

From the great ingredients, Plant-Holic prepares them into delicious dishes. The taco rice set I had, which also include a plant-based yogurt drink and a nut ice cream, is impeccable. Even the purple colored mixed grain rice is grown without pesticides which shows a great deal of attention to details.

Pros: All vegan, Amazing attention to details, Friendly staff and delicious food

Cons: Location is a bit far

Not that bad

"Healthy" is a word to describe bad food. But they are not bad for a "healthy" food. The problem is the price. Too expensive.
Parking is a bit of a problem too.
Overall, I'm not too excited about it. You can find dozens of other "healthy" food places just like this place everywhere in Japan and this place is not the best one.

Best vegan I’ve tried in Japan

I went to plant-Holic before I took the plane back to Tokyo, and was the best farewell I could get. It was near the Airbnb I stayed so I didn’t have to walk much. It would be a long and hard to find walk from many places, though. I tried a herb shot, the seasonal vegetable salad, a carrot and beets juice and a chocolate nuts smoothie. Everything delicious. I was the only customer at the time so got to talk to the owner. She made everything herself and was very well knowledgable about what se was doing, very enriching conversation and bright woman. It was not cheap but it makes sense, everything was only the best quality. I wanted to try everything but didn’t have more space! I want to go back and would recommend in a heartbeat. Just keep searching because it’s not easy to find!

Pros: Vegan and healthy, Organic, local, delicious, High quality and friendly owner

Cons: Expensive but understandable , Location is not easily accessible

We’re gonna come back!

The food is delicious! The owner knows what she is doing! She explained us everything about wheatgrass,
And how local, bio her ingredients are.
The menu selection was perfect to us.
The Herbal coffee was amazing, the acai bowl delightful and the sushi bowl very tasty!
The only cons we can see is they didn’t have much staff that day and It took a little while to get our food... but they have books which was entertaining!
We will come back for sure!

Cozy and delicious healthy food

We went to plant HOLIC yesterday and enjoyed our experience. The food menu was still quite limited (the café opened only 4 months ago), but the veggie sushi bowl was very tasty, healthy and satisfying. In addition to the rice veggie bowl, you can order açai or chocolate bowls, smoothies and juices, and, when available, seasonal soup, all or mostly organic and as local as possible. I can't wait to go back and try the açai bowl and the kabocha soup. And I'll definitely order the veggie sushi rice bowl again and again. The store also sells sprouted nuts and other healthy natural snacks. Free Wifi. Off the main road with a small sign and free parking.

Pros: yummy, organic, vegan

Cons: should expand their menu
