Gem of a place! - Edit
It’s very rare we get to treat ourselves after a day on the hills, so we were delighted to find Kats Kitchen on our way into Keswick! Fully plant based treats to reward our tired legs with, Hot chocolate with lime and carrot cake was amazing!

Good food! - Edit
This is a vegan restaurant and the only thing that makes it veggie is that they serve dairy milk. I feel they should make that more obvious.. food is delicious. I had the spelt croissant with cheese and mushrooms then carrot cake (yum!) and my bf had the chilli and rice. All delicious. They also gave me two pieces of soya fudge with a cup of tea, lovely!

Nice surprise - Edit
It was really nice to find this place during holidays. The staff is nice and there are plenty vegan options. The Covid-19 measures are good and you feel safe during your meal, I haven’t been out for a meal since lockdown and I felt pretty safe.

Vegan oasis - Edit
The most sumptuous vegan classics as well as home baked goods as well as vegan ice cream and croissants. All cooked on premise and clearly marked in individual wrapped paper bags with napkins. A second and third visit pretty much guaranteed.

Great spot in Keswick - Edit
When we arrived in Keswick I couldn’t believe my luck, a great little vegan cafe on the edge of the town centre.
Read moreThis place is great - it had so many options. I’m gutted I didn’t get chance to try their stuffed vegan croissants. The whole menu looked so appetising and delicious smells coming from the open kitchen - it was hard to decide what to have.
We had soup, garlic bread and a hot chocolate with all the trimmings. It was just what was needed for a cold autumn day. Can’t wait to go back on our next visit, even my meat eating other half liked it! 👍🏻❤️
Pros: All vegan food- and treats , Great atmosphere , Zero waste-shopping

Good food - Edit
We stopped here for lunch, it was fairly busy. My husband had the bacon and sheese burger and adored it but at £12.95 I think it needed to be great. I had the croissant with jam which was delicious and a treat to be able to have as a vegan. The place was a little smoky because of the kitchen and there wasn’t loads on the menu I fancied. I had a hot chocolate which was great.

We had the best vegan meal of our lives! - Edit
We had the best food ever here. I had the ‘pastrami’ baguette with tomato soup and an almond chocolate milkshake and my partner had the nachos we both added guac! The baguette was unreal and so filling (soup was too much for me so my partner ate this). The nachos were delicious and the extra guac really made the dishes fantastic! Milkshake wasnt too chocolatey which was a shame but nice touch by adding vegan marshmallows and cream!

I popped in for a coffee this morning and Kat greeted us warmly and with delicious treats! Ended up staying for a Vegan Croissant(!) and a few more coffees and a chat with Kat. The cafe is beautifully decorated and Kat is knowledgeable on all things eco-friendly, so refreshing to have a business that is on the planets side! I will be eating here everytime I'm in Keswick from now on, even my dog loved it!

Absolute Gem! - Edit
A friend tagged me in a Kat's Kitchen FB post while I was on holiday in the Lakes, so we decided to pop in as we were walking in the area that day. The food was AMAZING; the service absolutely excellent and so welcoming, and the location - next to a bridge over a gorgeous river - simply beautiful. Prices very reasonable, so we took some fantastic cake to go, too! A must if you're in the area and it's worth the journey even if you're not.

So for my understanding everything is vegan except for the milk, as they serve a cow’s milk version.

Delicious vegan all day breakfast - Edit
We stopped here for lunch and had two vegan all day breakfasts, 2 vegan hot chocolates and a muffin each (1 blueberry and 1 chocolate). All of it was lovely, I'd not had 'vegan bacon' before so that was interesting to try. They had a wide range of options considering the café is quite small, option of 4 different plant milks as well as dairy milk. The hot chocolates with vegan cream and vegan marshmallows was my favourite! Perfect on a cold day.
