Is it really Junk food? - Edit
Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

Kind staff, nice decor, and a big menu with plenty of choices at Plant Base. I had the pizza with mushrooms. The base was more soft than crispy, but still had a great texture and flavour. Wish I could have tried more from the menu. A must visit when in Lisbon.

We enjoyed it in general! We had the nachos as a starter which were mildly spicy. As mains we went for the pizzas and we mostly enjoyed the dough. I was curious about the burgers and the momos, so we will probably go back.

It was the first of a few restaurants we tried while in Lisbon. Hubby and I liked it a lot so we even went a second time.

Service was a bit slow, mainly because the waiters don't see you when you sit in the front room and they don't check regularly. We had to get up to get their attention.

Read moreFui fora de horas típicas do almoço ou jantar por isso não houve qualquer problema em arranjar mesa, staff muito atencioso, ambiente tranquilo no meio de uma baixa-chiado caóticos e a comida nunca desilude!
Pedimos Momos fritos, nunca se pode errar com Momos 🥰 e um hambúrguer para um "não-vegano" que gostou bastante, principalmente da maionese picante que acompanhava!
Vale a pena voltar e experimentar outros pratos!💚

It’s very hard to find vegan onion rings in the USA. It was a delight to find onion rings with top taste. He had put a BBQ sauce over them and it tasted great. The margherita pizza is great too. In general all their breads are made well

I had already eaten from this restaurant at home, through delivery, before going there. Of course food is better right from the oven/stove, so I even liked it more. Good variety of "junk" good, with great flavors. The place is small, can be noisy and you can get cigarette smoke if you are seated at the entrance section and someone is smoking outside. I would recommend it for those looking for a more energetic and younger vibe dinner.
