Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.

On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

Read moreFui fora de horas típicas do almoço ou jantar por isso não houve qualquer problema em arranjar mesa, staff muito atencioso, ambiente tranquilo no meio de uma baixa-chiado caóticos e a comida nunca desilude!
Pedimos Momos fritos, nunca se pode errar com Momos 🥰 e um hambúrguer para um "não-vegano" que gostou bastante, principalmente da maionese picante que acompanhava!
Vale a pena voltar e experimentar outros pratos!💚

Exactly what you need when you have that fatty deliciousness craving. Mix between starters, burgers, pizza, nepalese momo, tacos is great for everybody. Garlic bread was super nice, we came back to have it again.

It’s very hard to find vegan onion rings in the USA. It was a delight to find onion rings with top taste. He had put a BBQ sauce over them and it tasted great. The margherita pizza is great too. In general all their breads are made well

I had already eaten from this restaurant at home, through delivery, before going there. Of course food is better right from the oven/stove, so I even liked it more. Good variety of "junk" good, with great flavors. The place is small, can be noisy and you can get cigarette smoke if you are seated at the entrance section and someone is smoking outside. I would recommend it for those looking for a more energetic and younger vibe dinner.

Plant Base is an unassuming hole-in-the-wall in the nearby Chiado district. Been there twice for some awesome "junk food"! First time there, I wasn't too hungry and just went with a starter of nachos for my main. Perhaps I was more hungry than I thought because those nachos were awesome and I scarfed them down! Second time I went there, I ordered the seitan tacos. OMG, that was just about the best seitan I've ever had! (Tasted like "beef.") It was awesome! The staff, on both occasions, were very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is funky-nature (lots of plastic plants). Plant Base is definitely my go-to for scrumptious vegan "junk food"...!

Had a pizza and burger at this place. Both were super tasty! 🤤🤤🤤 Also, a nice lady working there made sure our kid was warm by turning on heat, plus she brought her an extra glass of ice tea (free or charge) 🤗

Pizza was definitely the highlight of the meal, we ordered the Big Mac one and they'd absolutely nailed the flavours. The Mac and cheese was nice and so were the fried momos, but they had nothing on the pizza.

A Vegan Gem in Lisboa - Edit
Went there last night and was delighted with their offerings. It’s a steep climb to get there but so worth it. The pizzas were delicious (we tried 3 kinds) but the overall most delicious thing there that we tried was the Mac & Cheese! I’m a pretty tough critic for Mac & cheese and this one was outstanding!
