Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

A centrally located cooperative of chefs/restaurants that have come together under one roof to offer many different options at reasonable prices—all vegan! Multiple menus to choose from. I had a delicious Pakistani channa masala and an all-natural soda for a weekday lunch. Delicious and inexpensive. Great service, too! Very friendly and helpful. Not sure how busy it gets for dinner and on weekends, though.

This place is great! 4 different menus to choose from and you can mix and match. We had a capricciosa pizza and the no fish tacos. Very friendly staff. Nice bar with great beer and cocktails. Would go back again!

Great food and great service. We visited twice during our 4 nights in Lisbon. Loved the pizza and the curry with rice. I’m pretty sure everything tastes great. The food takes a little while to arrive but that’s pretty standard in many restaurants I visited in Lisbon and the surrounding areas. Made up for the wait with excellent food and friendly service. We also picked up a map of other vegan restaurants in the area which was fantastic. They really look after you here.

I’m actually going back today, and probably every day until I leave so I can try something from each menu.
Super friendly service, and it brings in a very cool crowd. Their mission of community and bringing people together is awesome. You can read all about it in the menu.
Also — the hours are wrong on here, 12-3pm, 6-10pm.
Edit: went back from the momos and they were heavenly, also tried the spicy banana and “cheese” croquettes from Baked which were impressive.

I was surprised by the amount of options on the menu, they have several types of cuisine from pizza, to curries, burgers, tacos... We ordered a funghi pizza and chana masala and both were very good. The place itself is very cool and chill, similar to Vegan Junkies vibe. We were surprised by the dessert, we got a chocolate salame with a date topping and we are a bit picky with dates. It ended up being quite good and both me and my partner enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

If you're in Lisbon, visit this place. You won't regret it. All the food we ate was great, but the pizza is to die for. Gets busy in the evening so try for lunch. We went twice in one day it was so good. We also had jhol momos and the pakoras and they were also very good.

The best Vegan Pizza - Edit
To find great vegan pizza was one of the most difficult things since I'm vegan. I gave up to eat pizza already. But "Plant Base" had an amazing Pizza with vegan cheese. I was blown away by them flavors of the Pizza. Such a creative taste, I've never eaten before these taste. We loved it. If you're in Lisbon and you are Vegan, definitely you should try them Pizza!!!

friendly atmosphere with many choice in different type of cuisine. I understood that they want to promote various chefs. but I would say it's in category of pizzas. you can take away or eat inside. I had a great time and recommended highly this place. I just want to go back and try the rest of their dishes
