Is it really Junk food? - Edit
Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

Die Beets Cocktail Bar lag in unmittelbarer Nähe unserer Unterkunft und da wir an unsere Anreise noch nichts gegessen haben, war diese perfekt fürs spontane Essen gehen. Wir mussten ein wenig warten, doch das Warten hat sich gelohnt für eine angenehme Atmosphäre bei einer Bar, die zu 100 % vegan ist und sogar gute Burger macht. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gerne wieder!

Ok vegan junk food place. Not a great atmosphere and staff weren’t very friendly. We had the Mac and cheese, a burger and seitan tacos. If you want a quick, basic meal then it’s ok. Lisbon has many other great choices though!

I’m from London, been to a lot of places in Spain and U.K. . And I can honestly say this place is the best. The food 10/10. The service 10/10. The music 2000/10. Das ist das Erste Mal, dass ich einem komplett veganen Restaurant die schlechtmöglichste Bewertung geben muss. Die Kellnerin war sehr schlecht gelaunt und unfreundlich, was wir in Portugal noch nicht erlebt haben. Auf der Toilette roch es sehr stark nach Fäkalien, einfach widerlich. Das Essen war leider auch enttäuschend - wir hatten Pizza gegessen, welche sehr fettig und langweilig geschmeckt hat. Wir haben die Hälfte gegessen und uns war danach schlecht. Die Kellnerin hatte auch nicht gefragt ob etwas mit dem Essen nicht stimmt, obwohl es offensichtlich war dass es und nicht geschmeckt hat. Außerdem haben wir lange auf alles gewartet. Wirklich schade, da die Gerichte auf der Karte alle toll klingen. Vielleicht war es früher besser, was die guten Bewertungen erklärt...

Nice vegan restaurant with a typical hipster-alternative flair and nice staff! We had some burgers with fries and they were super tasty! There are plenty of other choices too. We paid around 30€ for 2 Burgers with fries and two drinks, which is totally fair. Recommendation!
