Is it really Junk food? - Edit
Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

Great pizza and chill vibes - Edit
We ordered tacos and the pesto pizza: both were absolutely delicious (the pizza dough was perfect!). The service is really fast, we were in a hurry so we really appreciated it. The staff is suuuper nice and friendly and the place is really cozy: I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy its vibes. I would definitely recommend this place.

I love this place !! So much thought has gone into the different options of vegan junk food from amazing fresh pizzas, to the range of burgers and the nachos are top tier!! If I could eat here every day I would. The atmosphere is also great and they had some fab music playing. Even the menu is unique! The staff are lovely too. Friendly place with some amazing vegan grub.

We are so lucky we stumbled upon this delicious lil spot.Felt right at home immediately. The music is poppin and the food is even mo poppin. Great hip hop music, lots of 80 and 90s. Knew we were in the right spot when Ms. Lauryn Hills glorious vocals greeted us. I had the batata e salsicha pizza and my bf had the chorizo tacos. Would definitely recommend this place! Great vibe with super friendly staff.

It’s delicious pizza, tacos, onion rings and macaroni and cheese - but nothing dies for it and a small climate footprint - so hell yes! Staff is amazing, wine and beer is great. Highly recommend this place! Oh - and hip hop tunes are fun!
