Is it really Junk food? - Edit
Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

Absolutely loved the food, vibes, playlist, and staff. For a place that offers multiple different cuisines, we were really impressed. The pizza has that chewy, gooey crust that you only find in a true napolitano pizza and the seitan tacos were very flavorful.

We weren’t sure what to expect but everything was really good. There were a lot of options for everyone (even some that didn’t involve imitation meat - hooray!!). The vibe was fun - loud music and just a good time!! We would definitely go there the next time we are in Lisbon!

Everything was perfect - really sweet staff, amazing music (hayley kiyoko, jorja smith etc), really nice bathrooms, nice deco, free wifi. We got loaded nachos (my partner’s fav), mac and cheese, seitan tacos (my fav), the prego, and tiramisu and water for £37 i think so really not too bad price. Really yummy, I love it!!

We wanted good pizzas, burgers, and drinks to wind down the evening. We are happy we chose this place. The drinks from our awesome Brazilian bartender were fantastic! The music was vibing - a great place to grab a bite to eat and chill at the end of the day.

We had the loaded nachos, mac’n cheese, cactus tacos and ‘big mac’ pizza. Everything was delicious and freshly made. The portions are good, and the taste is really great. The tacos have been the best in Europe so far.

I went there several times during my stay in Lisbon. The nachos and the pizzas are amazing. I also liked the mac and cheese, I was less of a fan of the momos but they were still good. If you're craving junk food, this is the place to go.

So many different vegan options from tacos to pizza! I had one of the pizzas with mushrooms and artichokes, which was nice but I wasn't a massive fan of the vegan cheese. I'd try the tacos on a future visit as they looked wonderful!

Restaurant vibe was casual, menu is varied, food was good quality. Very good options for pizzas, and some of the smaller plates looked very appetising. Service was really very good, very friendly and welcoming. Price was okay, but not the best value compared to other restaurants in Lisbon. The tiramisu dessert however was amazing! A must try for sure!

We sought this place out on our first night and want to come back a few more times to try everything! We ordered momos and a burger and, of course, dessert. Everything was delicious and I don't think we can leave Lisbon before trying their pizzas. Chill vibe, super-friendly staff, and the main thing is knowing you can relax and eat/drink your heart out there knowing that you're safe from contributing to animal abuse. #Veganuary

With a welcoming and happy atmosphere, this place makes you feel good from the moment you enter: nice music, super nice staff, multicultural environment. I liked the jackfruit and smoked cheese pizza, it was yummy! I couldn't have more so I ordered a takeaway tiramisu, but when it got to my place I couldn't resist trying it! Wow, very good!
