Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

Yummy nachos - Edit
Was drawn in by the nachos (which were cheesy and loaded and delicious) and also ordered a pizza, which was almost equally delicious. We did not order health food, but if you’re craving some comfort food, this is your place. Super friendly staff and most of the tables were taken, which was great to see. Not fancy.

You might have trouble finding this on maps. Go to the PESSO HOTEL and you can see the restaurant. Get ready for some killer food. I crushed the chipotle pizza - Amazing! And we shared some Nachos! Good stuff. Don't sleep on the Tiramisu. We grabbed two MAC N cheese for the adult kids who were sleeping for travel.

Came here a few times whilst in Lisbon as they do great, comforting ‘junk’ food. The menu is an eclectic mix of tacos, pizzas, burgers alongside Himalayan style Momos which were absolutely delicious (I went for very spicy ones and wasn’t disappointed). The Bigger than Mac pizza being a Big Mac in pizza form (with beyond burger meat) was amazing and really hit the spot. Exceptional service and great quality for a low price in a really cool place. Can’t recommend Plant Base enough.

We wanted a big lunch here after lots of walking and we were not disappointed. We tried the nachos and the seitan tacos, both were lovely and filling. The seitan was cooked perfectly and we also added their home made hot sauce which I would highly recommend!

I went here when I hadn't eaten for quite some hours, so I was really hungry. Plant Base is a cute place with a lot of different options: burgers, pizza, tacos and more. I chose the classic burger and it was really good! The staff was nice as well and the place isn't expensive. Would definitively recommend!
