We got french toast, southern bae plate (mac and cheese, green beans, coleslaw, fried buffalo cauli wings, cornbread), and fried pickles !! everytuing was 10/10 amazing and portions were so generous !! we were starving and were stuffed after lunch.

Read moreThe food was delicious. The service was friendly and fast. I HIGHLY recommend the Southern plate! I got collard greens, Mac n cheese, and every flavor of cauliflower wings! These cauliflower wings are better than any other cauliflower wings I’ve tried. The Philly cheese e was flavorful and the baguette was so soft. Their sauces are so yummy and I love that you get a homemade ranch with your order! I will visit every trip to Montgomery and will recommend to anyone coming this way, vegan or not.

Delicious soul touching food. Loved the collard greens, fries and that sauce for the fries???!!! YUUUMMMM. The cornbread was good as well. Staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. If you’re in Alabama stop by, worth the trip!

Big disappointment - Edit
Been supporting Plant Bae since they opened. Asked for sauce on the side, 2 burgers, 2 fries ordered. Got 2 burgers with sauce, no fries told waitress we ordered fries. Later received 1 order told 2 was cooking…never received. Asked by manager? About our order was told no sauce was not on order, have ticket which states no sauce. No offer to get fries or refund. Second person asked about food as we were walking out the door, she was told the same thing. She did offer to cook fries but we didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes. No offer to refund item. Sadly this will be our last trip to the only vegan restaurant in Montgomery.

This downtown vegan restaurant was a real treat. The owner is delightful. We got a sampler plate with our southern favorites. We also got the key lime pie. I’d skip that next time and go for the cookies.

I was driving through Alamaba and had used Happy Cow to find some vegan options. Plant Bae was only a few minutes off of the interstate, and I was able to easily find parking. Indoor and outdoor seating. The entire menu is vegan. I got the quesadilla and had to try the fried pickles as well. The pickles had a little kick to them. My only regret is that I didn’t try a dessert. The portions are pretty generous and the food is very filling. It may not be the place for you if you’re trying to eat healthy or lose weight, but I will definitely be back here the next time I’m in Montgomery

Their food is completely vegan and absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is modern and the service is quick. I had a really good time here. The only thing I wish they had done was provide reusable cutlery and plates. Everything was in polystyrene and when I asked for a fork it was a plastic disposable fork. For those that care about reducing plastic waste this might be a concern but everything else was fantastic.

The food was fried very well but lacked flavor, which was unfortunate being that it’s black owed. Seemed to be unseasoned, not even salt. The fried pickles were the best because pickles have a flavor on their own. The Mac and cheese just tasted like noodles. The sauce would have been perfect if flavored. #Veganuary

We had the spicy bae sandwich - lightly breaded portobellos with their que-dabra sauce, plant fries, spicy collard greens and a Philly cheesesteak. All weee delicious and filling. Such a nice surprise to find a yummy vegan restaurant in a small town. Makes us happy travellers!

“Plant Bae” is a 100% Vegan Restaurant located at 175 Lee Street in Montgomery Alabama. First off the location is great because it is very convenient being near the Rosa Parks Museum, Hank Williams Museum, State Capital Building, Downtown River Park, and many other attractions! Parking outside of Plant Bae is metered, abundant, and easy to access. The first thing I noticed walking up to the restaurant was great outdoor seating options and many smiles from all the various people who were dining. The vibe at Plant Bae was immediately welcoming. Once inside you notice more variety of seating options, a cooler with to go items including various house made Sea Moss Gel bottles, and a merchandise rack with cute Tshirts. What I loved about ordering is that Plant Bae has a digital menu that allows you to input your own order. The screen makes it fun and easy to order exactly what you want and exactly the way you want it. You can also place your order with one of the friendly staff members behind the counter. While you wait for your meals (which come out very fast) you’re in luck because Plant Bae offers free Wi-Fi for guests and clearly advertises the password. We ordered the brand new “Soul Roll”, a sweet potato based smoothie, the house made burger with a side of cauliflower wings, and the gluten free Charlie Bae rice bowl. All of the food was SUPERB but I really want to highlight the Soul Roll because I am personally a former cheese lover and this Soul Roll was CHEESEY CHEESEY CHEESEY! The blend of vegan beef crumbles, various cheeses, collard greens, and Mac-N-Cheese in an Egg Roll style wrapper was very enjoyable for me. The prices are very fair for all of the menu offerings and I think non vegans would absolutely love this restaurant too. If you’re having an upcoming event PlantBae can even offering catering for your event! I love this restaurant and I am very happy it exists. Highly recommended 👍🏽👍🏽

Just a few minutes off the exit! - Edit
I was headed back from Florida to Atlanta and saw this restaurant in Montgomery. I was happy to find that it was just a few minutes of a highway, so I didn’t have to go too far out of my way. It was pretty busy, but they had me in and out in 15 minutes. Friendly spot, definitely worth a stop

Casual environment run by friendly folks. Black-owned and operated. I ordered the Bae burger (which was black-bean based. I also ordered the Lima beans as a side. Both were really good and, especially since it’s the only all-vegan restaurant in Montgomery, I will happily return before leaving the area.

This was my 1st time at Plant Bae. I ordered the Philly with a side of fried pickles. This was so good! Make sure to grab extra napkins, but I was very satisfied. I will be back to try other menu items.
