Can’t Miss When in Asheville! - Edit
We arrived without a reservation and waited about 30 minutes for a seat at the bar. Loved being able to watch the open kitchen. Food, wine, and service was exceptional!

Amazing - Edit
Amazing place! Everything was delicious, especially the ravioli. I do recommend getting a reservation as we were very lucky to get a walk-in table.

GET THE CHEESE PLATE - Edit
I had the best dining experience of my life at Plant, since going vegan. There aren't many fully vegan restaurants on the same level as Plant. Being able to enjoy a multi course meal with wine and dessert was such a special treat. If you go, you absolutely must get the cheese plate. It was divine. Every single dish we ordered was spectacular. The vibe in the restaurant was very cool too. One note of caution - get a reservation! Plant was booked on a Wed night and we almost didn't get in. We sat at the small bar, which was fun because we got an upclose view of all the action.

Delightful every time - Edit
My mouth is watering as I'm starting this review! We come here every year for our anniversary. Everything, from the drinks to the entrees to the dessert, is just so well done. Don't miss the vegan cheese plate, it's soooo good. The staff are wonderful too. You will likely need to make a reservation, and it is on the pricier side, but it's worth it. Just a lovely evening every time.

The most amazing vegan food I’ve ever had - Edit
Honestly this is some of the best vegan food I’ve eaten EVER. Aged cashew cheese ravioli with roasted/seasoned lobster mushrooms, vegan cheese plate with aged cashew cheese, macadamia cheese, and pecan cheese with house made focaccia, apples, olives, pickled green beans, and grapes, tahini cauliflower (which I forgot to take a pic of oops lol), summer ramen with smoked tamari broth (they literally smoke the broth in a smoker!!!), and applewood smoked mushrooms on a bed of cauliflower “risotto” with a shredded fennel salad. Then for dessert (which we haven’t eaten yet because we might actually die if we try to eat more right away) their creme brûlée and their blondie.

Best of the best. - Edit
I’m not gonna lie, I do give out a lot of 5 star reviews. But this place is BEYOND 5 stars. Absolutely brilliant. From the cheese platter to the applewood mushrooms, to the ice cream. Every single thing was beyond out wild vegan expectations. My fiancé is a vegan chef, and this place could Possibly be the best vegan restaurant we’ve been to.

Plant is the ultimate - Edit
I may be a bit biased because I used to work here but I absolutely adore everything Plant does. The food, the humans, it’s all good. Maybe I’ll make reservations right now.

Plant is perfection!
Read moreWe try to visit Asheville once a year - primarily to eat at Plant. We've been to many vegan restaurants all over the world and Plant is the absolute best (beating out NYC and LA). The food is upscale, flavorful and satisfying. As you can see from the photos, each dish is a work of art.
Go! But be sure to make a reservation!

bougie small plate kind of place - Edit
you're gonna drop some money here, but hey, treat yourself once in a while. You gotta get the cheese plate of course. And as long as you're treating yourself get the carrot cake too. Fancy cocktails. They get busy so you might want to call ahead.

High-end Vegan Experience - Edit
Definitely a true fine dining restaurant. The cauliflower was next level. The toast was the best toast I ever had. The sauces for the tempeh and ravioli were well developed.

Many dishes were too salty - Edit
The toast, masala uttapam, and ramen were all too salty. I liked the edamame butter on the toast, though, and my gf loved the ravioli. Perhaps all of the cheese dishes are good, but not great for ppl with nut allergies (like me).

Yummy and fancy - Edit
Went for Valentine's Day, it's a great special occasion spot and the food was great, though if you have someone that eats a lot, the portions may be small depending on what you get. Highly variable. Bean in South Asheville (which is gone!) or Rosetta's downtown are more my style for regular dining.
Read moreJust went again 5/2021. Still good. Got the ramen and a Mexican inspired dish with the best tasting tamale masa I’ve ever tasted. Both dishes were good and filling. There was a ravioli appetizer that was also yummy.
FYI, I get terrible acid reflux every time I eat here. But I don’t stop. I don’t know why it happens, and it’s not a problem anywhere else. So I come prepared with antacids. In case this is information you might find useful.

Very good date night/fine dining spot - Edit
Much like others have mentioned, their reservation system could use an update. I was able to finally get us a rez after calling and leaving a voicemail 3 different times - they called us back at 9:30 and 10:30 at night, so if you’re not awake you miss out!
Read moreThat said, we got our reservation for 7 on Sunday and came around 6:40. They were able to go ahead and seat us right then. My fiancé and I ended up getting the asparagus, raviolis, and cheese plate to start, followed by splitting their applewood smoked mushroom main and the blondie for dessert. Everything was incredible, though I think the cheese plate, applewood smoked dish, and blondie stood out. Especially the blondie… it was so good!
We were able to leave feeling full but not overly stuffed, so depending on how hungry you are you may want to do more. Definitely worth trying this place if you’re in Asheville and want to enjoy an upscale vegan meal. ☺️

Fancy Vegan Food - Edit
Plant was a highlight in our trip to the beautiful city of Asheville. On the pricier side (but still less expensive then fancy Omni places I’ve been to), and definitely worth the splurge. We had a cheese plate, grits, and curry. The dishes all had beautiful flavors and textures. We The menu rotates and uses seasonal/local ingredients. Make a reservation and enjoy a date night with luxurious dishes!
