Blah

I’m vegan and went with a friend on Easter. My friend had the lamb special and 2 things were very odd about it, they cut the lamb chop off the bone but left a ring of fat on it and cooked it to the point that there was no pink coloring any longer. I asked when we left and he said they were terribly burnt. Anyway, I had the hummus platter. The only thing that I could pick that wasn’t a mushroom. The Nan bread is not vegan and it also comes with cheese. So for a hefty price you can eat hummus with olives, cherry tomatoes and carrots sticks. They cut the tomatoes and olives in half and spread them out to take up space without actually giving you much food. I ordered fries to eat since obviously my humus plater wasn’t going to be sufficient for dinner. Terrible idea. They tasted of burnt fryer and came piles about 4 inches high in that awful taste that is now just soaked into them. My friend and I had never been here before and heard decent things about this place having real chefs and not just kitchen staff. With what they served I don’t believe that is the case. Things didn’t get much better up front either. We sat at the bar and the woman that said she works there 5 nights a week for 3 years was reading how to make drinks on her phone and a customer complained about her tap pour and asked her to dump some foam. We asked 3 times for a box and twice for separate tickets. She was annoyed at us because she didn’t separate our ticket when asked. We will not be going back, both for food and service. We can get overpriced food with better service other places.

Pros: Not very busy, Beautiful building

Cons: Food, Lazy service , Being ignored

Plank Town, on Main St.

I think the childs hummus plate is an outstanding value, and a nice mix of flavorful ingredients. If the were to show vegan options on menu it would be good

Pros: Great service, Great food, Great drinks

Cons: At the busiest times, it can be noisy from echoes

Meh

I received a gift card for Christmas for here so my husband and I decided to try it. The only thing in the menu that is Vegan is a portobello burger. It's two mushroom caps marinated in an Amber alew with the regular burger fixings. It is SO slippery and just out right not great. The fries would have been decent if they weren't burnt but the flavor wasn't hitting it, either. We didn't use the whole gift card but left it there, anyway, because we weren't going back there.

Cons: Very small choice of vegan options
