This was my second choice for a health food store in the Calgary area. Not as wide a selection of vegan items as I'd like.

Great store in North Calgary - Edit
Again, as good as it gets in Calgary. A smaller store than the one in the South side, there are tons of vegan options, and a great deli with fresh selections.
We stopped there recently to stock up for a picnic and found a ton of vegan things. Everything is clearly labelled and as an added bonus, the food was really tasty!

Right from when you enter the store, you know that this is a great place for all your groceries. Very wide selection, competative prices, bright happy atmosphere, helpful staff. They carry a full area of personal products, vitamins, cleaning supplies, household items, even jewelery.
Theres a deli in the store so you can pick up ready made food for when you don't want to cook. Oh, and speaking of cooking, they have their own cookbook chock full of recipies for everyone. Check out the Cosmic Cookie recipie. Major Yum!
Pros: The staff, plenty of parking, its a HAPPY place
