Good Bowls for Cheap - Edit
Planet Fresh a varied veggie menu which was music to my ears. There were so many options to choose from but I went with the Thai Fresh Burrito Bowl ($8) with a spinach tortilla on the side (make sure to ask for this!).
Read moreMy bowl came with rice, a mix of black and pinto beans, zucchini, mushrooms, and peppers in a peanut sauce. My bowl was not only incredibly filling but the ingredients were definitely fresh and I loved being able to enjoy something at such an affordable price.
I came back another time and had their cajun style burrito bowl - it wasn't as good as the Thai one so I will definitely stick to what I know as tasty.
To make your burrito or bowl vegan, be sure to ask for brown rice instead of Spanish rice since it's cooked in chicken stock.

Filling and affordable meal. I'd consider these more like a wrap then a proper burrito, but there's nothing wrong with a wrap. The habanero salsa is super hot, just how I like it.

I was happy to see that Planet Fresh had opened again after being shut for a long time. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience today.
Read moreWhen I asked if the Thai Fresh sauce was vegan, the staff was unable to answer. I ended up ordering the Garden Fresh burrito and it was just boring. Probably because of the pandemic, salsa is served in teeny cups so I didn't want to ask for multiple in order to spice up my bland burrito.
When we walked into the restaurant, I noticed an overpowering perfume smell. Fortunately, they have outdoor seating so we sat outside. But every time I used my paper napkin or sipped from the paper cup I got a whiff of the scent. Yuck.
Overall, I wasn't impressed and don't see myself returning.

Good healthy burritos. Lots of fresh veggies. Good salsa bar too. Very quick service. Reasonable prices. Great location just off the main downtown strip.
