CLOSED: Plain Vanilla Bakery and Cafe

I prefer the little vegan cakes they usually have prepacked. They had the peanut bites and recently I tried the pineapple cakes. They both were very tasty. But, unfortunately the cupcakes are not.. really not..It is like biting in a block of butter.. with something very dry around it..

Plain Vanilla is a bakery/café at Hessenplatz. They have a few vegan options, however the cupcakes I tried so far have all been very dry and crumbly and were loaded with a fatty frosting. The cupcakes do look great, but have been very disappointing unfortunately.

I might have been unlucky but my vegan muffin from Plain Vanilla was simply a heap of crumbs. I don't expect everything to be always perfect but selling this as a muffin for a regular price although it was clearly a failure, is very strange.

Very nice looking cupcakes, unfortunately only two or three vegan options as far as I know.

Concerning the park, which is suggested in the description because of the few seatings:
you would definitely not want to sit there and eat your wonderful cupcake (unless you want to consume it with harder drugs than chocolate and sugar ;))
