Disappointing at best - Edit
The pizzas were tiny, especially for the price. If they were delicious I would be sort of ok with it, but they tasted like school cafeteria pizzas. Wanted to support a vegan business.

Sad - Edit
I was so excited to try this place, especially when I read all the great reviews! We drove an hour to get there on a weekend day. When we arrived, the door was locked. I called and there was no answer. As we walked back to our car, a gentleman said he was also wondering what was going on. I thought maybe there was a family emergency or something so I just chalked it up to my own bad luck and timing.
Read moreFinally made it back to the area to again try this place out. It was empty except for the owner. Everything I asked about he said they did not have at the moment. So that was disappointing but moving along.
I ordered a pizza and planned on bringing it home to also have for dinner with my husband. The cost was a little high but I’m used to that as when it comes to new vegan items, the cost is always higher.
I drove home and opened the pizza box and was shocked! The pizza was literally sliding around inside the box because it was so small. It was def the size of a personal pizza and not like the photos I saw posted here in other reviews.
I ate some of the pizza AND THEN…had to run to the bathroom…all vegans know this scare…what was in it that wasn’t vegan? Clearly something was wrong.
I love to support small, local, and vegan businesses. I hope this one turns back around and gets back to the way it was apparently when it first opened. Because I want them to make it just on principle alone! Don’t skimp on the quality ingredients and don’t mKe them smaller just because you can. And stock up on your goods.
Pros: Clean, Vegan, Friendly owner
Cons: Explosive , Low Stock

Good but not great - Edit
The customer service was excellent. The wait time was great. The pizza - eh. First, as has been said in other reviews, the menu is pricey and doesn’t match the size/servings my son and I received. The pizza wasn’t much larger than a medium frozen pizza you could purchase at the grocery store. Truly, the pie could’ve just been for 1 person. I was happy to see a vegan spot; and overjoyed to support a black-owned business. My hope is that everything will improve with time, since they’ve only been open 3 months.

Great place - Edit
It’s not that easy to find a vegan and gluten free pizza. It’s a bit oily but tasty! We’ve ordered artichoke pizza and berry berry drink, coming back to try other flavors!

Decent, not as good as my initial visit - Edit
Edit: When I first reviewed this place I said this was some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had. I was blown away by how good this pizza was! Strangely, though, my experience echoes that of another reviewer here who said that the pizza here was never as good as the first time they had it. Every other time I have gone there the pizza has just been okay. Since the first time I visited, they have raised the prices and changed the menu around, and I am wondering if they also changed the ingredients and that is why the quality is not what it initially was. In particular I wonder if they changed the vegan cheese that they use, because I remember really liking it the first time, but ever since then I have felt that it was similar to a lot of other vegan cheeses that are subpar.
Read moreI am still giving three stars because I am excited to see new vegan places popping up in the area and want to give them support. However, I wanted to change my review to reflect my honest experience and not mislead anyone. The pizza is not bad, and the drinks they make are very good (albeit expensive), so it is not all bad! I just wish the pizza was as good as the first time I had it.

Really wanted to like it - Edit
Honestly, was really excited to try this place. Drove an hour to get there and really REALLY wanted to like it, and I'm sad to say it, but this is the worst vegan pizza I've ever had. Service was decent, this review is strictly based on product quality.
Read moreEven with it being expensive, if it was good and remotely authentic pizza, it would have been worth it.
I'm worried that if a non vegan tried this pizza, they would believe that this is what vegan food is like, and discourage them from trying vegan food in the future.
Just throwing this out there, it's also a franchise originally from California (once again, wouldn't matter if it was actually good).
Hopefully, they will reevaluate and improve their recipes in the future.
Cons: Poor quality / taste / texture , Expensive

Awesome! - Edit
Tried Pizzeria Halt for the first time tonight, and it was terrific! We were taking our pies home and they were super speedy with our order. Both my artichoke pizza and my daughter’s ‘Buffalo chicken’ pizza were top notch. Looking forward to devouring the leftovers for lunch tomorrow too.

Overpriced & Never In Stock - Edit
I've eaten at/from Pizzeria Halt Cherry Hill three times. While the pizza is good (read: good, not great), it never lives up to the quality of my first visit. The pizza hasn't been as good since that night.
Read moreThis location NEVER has all of the ingredients that they promise on their menu and upcharge for the cauliflower crust, despite it being the ONLY crust (and only in the 12" size) they have in stock. It's incredibly unprofessional to never stock the advertised menu items and then penalize the customer for it. If they're not going to offer the choices, they shouldn't be on the menu, even if that means arranging a temporary menu until they get their supply issue sorted. The lack of available crust isn't the only issue- they never have the appetizers or desserts which are offered on the menu as well!
I REALLY wanted to love this place because I love to support small business and the idea of having a local vegan place was exciting! However, this place breaks the bank without living up to the hype. The make shift temporary furniture is very uncomfortable and the customer service is lacking.
I was also unaware, until today, that this is a franchise and they don't make their own pizza but, simply assemble pre-made ingredients. This place feels like paying fancy restaurant prices for grocery store frozen pizza.
Pros: Only vegan pizza in the area, Many toppings to choose from
Cons: Crazy expensive, They never stock all menu items, Furniture is very uncomfortable

The food was legit amazing… I feel like it’s hard to find really good vegan pizza around here! I am so happy & thankful to have an animal product free pizzeria so close to my house. The owner was so nice, too!

This place is something special! - Edit
Found this place on Happy Cow after picking up the rental car at PHL. So glad this is where I went. Called ahead to order and asked for the recommended pizza and he did not steer me wrong! It is worth the drive if you live in Philly. The Berry Berry Juice is very delicious. #Veganuary

Good stuff - Edit
Today was the grand opening and we’re psyched to have a great pizza spot close to home. They have a nice variety of gourmet pizza on the menu and both the chicken pesto and buffalo chicken pizza were tasty. The crust has a nice bite and the “chicken” has a great texture.
