Delicious pizza, great terrace with view on the lake. I had a vegetarian pizza with tofu (11,90€) and asked for vegan cheese instead ( 2,5€). There is one explicitly mentioned vegan pizza in the menu. many other vegetarian ones also. Pizzas are huge and I couldn’t finish and the waiter was so nice to pack it for me. Great service.

Nice to find a pizzeria with vegan cheese , they have one specific vegan pizza listed which has rocket, olives cherry tomato and vegan cheese, there is another fully vegan pizza in the vegetarian section which has aubergine, courgette, capers, olives and tofu. The pizzas are decent but I found them pretty expensive (about 12 euros) for the quality. They weren’t awful but we’re just distinctly average and there were things like the rocket was a bit past it, the courgette and cherry tomatoes barely cooked, which you wouldn’t expect from a really good pizzeria.

The waitress was rude, we had to ask them to clean the table and she didn’t clean properly. We came and ordered 4 pizzas, 2 of them were wrong. One pizza was supposed to be vegan pizza, they didn’t have vegan cheese in stock so we agreed on pizza with veggies and no cheese, which was poorly filled with veggies, but I still had to pay 13 € for pizza. My friend asked for margeritha but with only 1 type of cheese instead of 2, she got both . We said to waitress that the pizzas are not correct and she said that she is not taking any responsibility since she was not the one taking orders, which is true since she there were 2 waitresses serving us so everything got mixed up and one of them was very rude, even rolling her eyes. Never coming back again. I wouldn’t recommend going there. It’s expensive, orders get mixed up, most of the stuff is rude and it’s not clean.

This pizzeria is quiet and relaxed, you can sit outside and inside. Outside you have a view of the lake and the mountains. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are 2 vegan pizzas on the menu, but on request you can also make other pizzas with vegan cheese. We had the "vegan pizza" and the "vege pizza", which is the name of the standard veggie pizza and we asked to have it with vegan cheese. It was no problem but cost 2.50 euro more. The pizzas were delicious and priced OK. The drinks are relatively expensive there. It is also possible to have two different types on one pizza - half half, it also costs a markup. It is also possible to share a pizza for two (each half served on two plates), does not cost anything extra. We liked it and we loved the atmosphere, so we went there twice.

We went on a busy afternoon and the hard working waitress was still very attentive and the service was fast. There are a lot of pizzas on the menu and they were happy to switch out the cheese for the vegan alternative. The prices were reasonable as well.

They have one default vegan pizza (£9.80) on the menu which was really tasty and had lots of gooey melted cheese on the base, plus zucchini, olives, green peppers, tomato and tons of rocket. One pizza shared between two of us was the perfect amount for lunch. A good pitstop before a walk around beautiful Lake Bled - this place was about 10 min walk from the bus station and right near the lake path.

As many people who visit Slovenia will find out - good vegan options are few and far between. What was great about this place is that they have the vegetarian options on the menu, all of which can be made vegan, and they are very accommodating! There was no fuss and the food came quickly (which was good as we were starving!)

Pizzeria Gallus is a great place to get vegan pizza in Bled.
Read moreOver two separate visits we got the vegan pizza, the veggie mexican pizza and the tofu pizza, both with vegan cheese.
The vegan pizza is topped with a lot of rocket as the main filler however the vegan cheese they use melts well and is very tasty.
The veggie mexican pizza with vegan cheese was our favourite, with just enough spice too make it interesting but not enough to be overwhelming.
The Tofu pizza is good as well with the tofu being little scrambled chunks which is better than big slabs.
We had some confusion on the second visit with us accidentally ordering the normal mexican pizza, which has chicken on it, with vegan cheese. Also the tofu pizza was missing the tofu. This led to us thinking we had been given the wrong pizzas. As it turns out we made a mistake in not ordering the veggie mexican pizza and they made the mistake of not putting tofu on our tofu pizza.
We returned with our two pizzas and together with the waiters worked out what had gone wrong. They were very helpful and changed the pizzas for us free of charge which was fantastic.
Altogether the location is excellent with great outdoor views of Lake Bled and the pizza in itself is excellent.
