Are you Vegan and visiting Amalfi? Go here! - Edit
Over are the days of eating a pizza marinara for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoy pizza with a delicious and fluffy dough and vegan mozarella and pesto alternatives. You pay a little more for the vegan version of the pizza of your choice but in my opinion it was worth it. The place itself is also very pretty and the family runs it with passion.

Amazing vegan Pizza, Sweet Staff - Edit
Finally a pizza thats not a Marinara! After a couple days of having barely any vegan options this place was a highlight. The staff was incredibly sweet and friendly and the pizza was amazing! The dough was SO good and they've got a vegan cheese and a vegan pesto option!
Read moreThe place itself is very pretty as well and in a really nice location!
Only negative part was that you pay 3€ extra for each vegan option but the taste made up for that😄
10/10 would recommend :))
Pros: amazing pizza, friendly staff, vegan cheese+pesto option
Cons: 3€ extra for vegan option

Vegan cheese for pizza - Edit
You need to specify that you want vegan cheese and there’s an upcharge, but it was delicious and easy to order (vegetarian items are clearly labeled on the menu)

Great vibes, solid pizza - Edit
Appreciated the vegan cheese option though 3€ markup. Ordered the margarita pizza and it was solid. Think they used a cashew based “mozzarella” that didn’t overpower the pizza.

Super Ambiente + Pizza - Edit
Sehr freundliches Personal, kurze Wartezeit, wirklich leckere Pizza in wunderschönem Ambiente.

5€ more for vegan pizza 🥹but was delicious - Edit
First of all, the location is very cute (but there were a lot of mosquitos when we’ve been there is be prepared). Be aware that they charge 5€ more just for vegan cheese on the pizza (I asked them what’s so special about their Vegan pizza that justifies 5€ more and they said just the cheese 🥲), gluten free pizza is also 5€ more. But still the pizza was one of the best we had in Italy so I still recommend it. 😊

Ok pizza and vegan options - Edit
Pizzas can be made with vegan cheese for an extra of €5. I asked for the veg pizza without cheese as I haven't had a vegan cheese in in Italy I enjoyed so far.

Good but be prepared to pay a premium for vegan cheese - Edit
Amalfi is expensive no matter what, but the €5 extra for vegan cheese is an ouchy upcharge, especially given it was €3 the year before. Italian vegan cheese is actually quite affordable and a lot of it is produced in the country rather than being imported. Just saying. I also wished there was olive oil to dip the doughy crust into. The pizza tasted good, but I wasn't terribly excited about the crust.
Read more3 stars because at least it wasn't a boring cheeseless pizza. Note that vegetarian options are marked on the menu, not vegan (except the €5 upcharge for vegan cheese).

Favourite in Amalfi - Edit
Amazing vegan pizza, as well as vegan friendly wine. Came here twice while staying in Amalfi. The pizza is really good and won't let you down. I really like the setting of the restaurant too. Without HappyCow I don't think I would have found it.

This place is delicious. Hands down favorite meal and they have vegan cheese, pepperoni and plenty of options. I had the salad with grilled zucchini, bruschetta, a vegan pizza with cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms and vegan sausage. I’m from Long Beach, and I’m not gonna lie we have way better options but this was a pleasant experience in a town without any options really for vegans. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting. More on the romantic, date vibe.

Good but pricey - Edit
We had the vegan pesto gnocchi (you have to request this and if they have a batch they will accomodate you and it will be €3 extra because it’s the vegan option). It was delicious. We also had the vegetarian pizza without cheese because they charge €5 for vegan cheese substitute which is a bit too much for us to justify. We also had the bruschetta which was lovely.

Good pizza - Edit
We arrived at 8pm hoping to get a table for dinner but unfortunately they were completely booked out. A customer with a booking behind us said we should definitely come back as it's really good. We were very disappointed as the dining area looks so cute with a huge lemon tree over it.

I've now seen the other HC reviews that people have mentioned a pesto gnocchi and vegan sausage pizza?? I don't remember seeing that, but it sounds amazing.

Found this gem whilst walking around, staff were nice, and we were able to walk in and grab a table for two without a reservation. This was around 6.30pm, but at 7.15pm queues started to form, and people had to wait half an hour for a table. It was so nice to find a place with vegan options, and pizza that had vegan cheese on it! Portions were large and filling. The location was beautiful. I loved sitting under the lemon trees!

Vegan mozzarella - Edit
It is very rare to find vegan cheese on pizzas in italy so we were very excited for Pizzeria Donna Stella. And we really liked the pizza. You can exchange the normal mozzarella with vegan mozzerella on every pizza. Pleace note that they have a new menue which doesn‘t show the vegan mozzerella option any more. We told the staff about it, they were a little surprised. Also not every staff member knows about the vegan cheese, so don‘t hesitate to ask.
