I hadn't consulted Happy Cow before going to Saarburg because on previous occasions there hadn't been much choice. What a pleasant surprise this menu was! Usually, the vegan dishes that you get in Italian restaurants are vegan "by accident" or you eat pizza without cheese.They have whole page with vegan dishes. I ordered a pizza with spinach and extra vegan tuna. The pizza was very filling and tasted good. Everyone else in my group liked the food as well. Clear recommendation!

Great Food in the Vegan Desert - Edit
Despite arriving at opening, we were unable to get a table. The entire restaurant was booked. I pleaded with them to make a “to go order” (as I knew they were the only chance for a vegan meal within 10 miles). They delivered! It was ready in 20 minutes, packed nicely and the best dinner I have had in Germany!

Angeboten werden mehrere vegane Gerichte, die Pizzen sind mit veganem Käse belegt. Wahlweise kann für einen Aufpreis von 2,50€ veganer Thunfisch dazubestellt werden. Optisch sahen die Pizzen top aus, nach dem ersten Bissen mussten wir jedoch feststellen, dass der Boden wie eine TK-Pizza schmeckte. Sehr schade! Der Salat mit Falafel und veganem Feta-Käse war in Ordnung.

Es gab eine extra DinA4-Seite nur mit veganen Gerichten in der Standardkarte. Ich habe die „Pizza Perla“ gegessen und war sehr zufrieden :-)

Nice surprise - Edit
Found this place by surprise and was happy I did. They have a separate vegan menu and were happy to customise a different pizza with vegan cheese for me. The pizza tasted good overall although the dough could be better, it was a bit dry. The pasta was also good although slightly (!) overcooked yet with an amazing sauce! Portion size was rather big, price was fair. Staff was friendly and the location is also nice. Overall I can recommend this place and would visit again.
