My family and I decided to check out Pizza Rio. I will be honest I didn’t have high hopes as being vegan in pigeon forge is almost impossible. So we decided to skip cooking at home and head out to eat. The moment we walked in the staff was incredibly friendly. It was late and we ordered the buffet, explaining I was vegan. The waitress explained this is a common request. A little while later they came out and shared they were out of vegan cheese (I’ll be honest I’m ok with that). The manager came out and was genuinely apologetic even offering to run get more vegan cheese. I appreciated it but declined the offer and said just no cheese is good. When they finished making my assortment of vegan pizza, It was amazing! Corn and Broccoli, artichoke, mushroom, supreme. You can tell it was thought out and the genuine concern the manager shared was very appreciated. I even used it as an example for my daughter of how good customer can change an entire experience.
I didn't do enough research admittedly before we showed up, but this is a "Brazilian style" pizza joint - meaning they walk around with a bunch of different pizzas and you can take whatever slice you want from the waiters. But they all have meat and cheese!
They did have non vegan cheese that you can make your own pizza with, but that's not listed anywhere on the menu.
Food was good, waiter just wasn't the most well versed in vegan!
