Serves meat, vegan options available. Could build a pizza with Daiya vegan cheese, soy chorizo, two types of mushrooms grown locally in Kennett Square, arugula, and other veggies. Shares a space with Little Baby's Ice Cream, which offers a few coconut milk based vegan ice cream flavors daily. Walls are covered with pizza collectables (kind of like a museum). Open Mon-Wed 1:00pm-8:00pm, Thu-Sat 12:00pm-9:00pm, Sun 12:00pm-8:00pm.

Delicious pizza

Stopped by Pizza Brain and had the Ollie. The crust had a satisfying crunch and the cheese was melted nicely.

Pros: Pizza was delicious, Nostalgic atmosphere was fun, Courtyard mural was neat

Cons: Customer bathroom was out of order, Staff bathroom was sketchy

This place is cool

The vegan pizza is pretty good. I mostly like the ascetics of this place, along with it being right next to the ice cream shop.

Pros: Very cool decor, Good pizza, Next to ice cream

Great for Vegetarians; Okay for Vegans

I ordered a vegan pizza at Pizza Brain and it was too big for one person and also ended up being fairly expensive. The base is $7 and then added toppings are additional money. I added a few toppings and the pizza ended up being $14, which in my opinion is too much money when you just want a slice of pizza for lunch. I understand they need to make the vegan pizzas separately so it's not like you can just buy a slice, but still, this isn't the best choice for one vegan. If you have two or more hungry people willing to eat vegan, if you are a person with a voracious appetite, or if you can easily take home leftovers, then it starts to become a better option. If you are a vegetarian, they seem to have some really great options by the slice.

Overall, this is a fun place with really friendly people and my meat-eating friend loved his food. I would definitely go back, but I think especially if I were by myself I would go to Blackbird instead, where you can pick up a slice or two of delicious vegan pizza for a reasonable price, and afterwards you don't have to lug around tons of leftovers.

Pros: Friendly Service, Atmosphere

Cons: No Single Serving Vegan Options

Pizza!!!!!!

This restaurant is a great place for grabbing pizza with friends. With vegan options, their pies are definitely meant to share. My friends and I ordered a white pie with half normal white pizza and half gruyere with onions. It was delicious, but a bit greasy. Comes with the territory with pizza, though.

Pros: Vegan Friendly, Huge Portions

Cons: A Bit Greasy

Best - and Most Fun - Pizza in the City

Pizza Brain is the pizzaria of my dreams. Vegans can build their own pizza, with or without Daiya cheese and soy chorizo. Amazing toppings include two types of mushroom (portobellos and shitakes, both grown locally in Kennett Square), arugula and other delicious veggies. The sauce is flavorful and the crust that perfect airy, crispy texture. They share space with the incredible Little Baby's Ice Cream, which offers half a dozen exotic coconut milk based vegan ice cream flavors every day (including Earl Grey Siracha and Chipotle Chocolate). It's vegan heaven, I tell you! The pizzaria's walls are covered with pizza collectables and there is outdoor seating in a courtyard or in the front of the establishment. The owners and servers are incredibly friendly and very talented at learning your name quickly, making you feel as if they know you and appreciate your business. They'll be getting lots of mine.

I've spent years searching for the best pizzeria in Philly. I've found it in Pizza Brain.
