Great lunch. Great value - Edit
So glad I called in to Pixie Bakes on my way back from hiking in the Peaks. Coffee was a life saver, and my vegan mac’n’cheese was a delight. Rich, creamy (and crunchie bits) with a fab side salad and lovely zingy dressing with a piece of garlic sourdough to die for. Many thanks.

Lovely food - Edit
I've been here loads of times and really enjoyed the food and drinks. I've had the vegan Mac and cheese, salad bowls, pate on toast and cakes. Everything was delicious. I really recommend the Mac and cheese. It's dog friendly too.

(Almost) perfect cafe and bakery - Edit
Pixie Bakes is in the perfect spot to reward yourself after a nice long walk around the Longendale reservoirs, it has a great menu which has lots of options that can be veganified, in fact I think it's almost all veganable?
Read moreThe cake selection is often quite intimidating, with at least 50% vegan options, and they did have a vegan Mr. Whippy machine in action at one point, hopefully that'll be back when the weather warms up.
The only con is, if the weather's unpleasant (which can be quite often in this neck of the woods) then there's not much indoor seating and the outdoor umbrella does little to rainproof the seating there! Though it's not usually too much of a wait for a seat.
Also, to me, it feels like they should just go fully vegan, I know that's a daunting idea for a business and they might worry the lack of dairy milk for beverages might alienate lots of loyal customers, so I get it if that's the reason, but I know that people make the trip just for Pixie Bakes, and going 100% plant based would be the cherry on an almost perfect vegan cake!
Pros: Almost everything can be made vegan (except cakes), At least half the cakes are vegan though , Near to some lovely walks
Cons: Limited seating

Amazing vegan cakes - Edit
A cute family owned business with vegan cakes, ice cream and milkshakes. Offerings change from day to day so there's always a good variety of vegan things to try! Only downside is most of the cake cabinet is non-vegan options with usually just a couple of vegan things to choose from.

Amazing - Edit
This is a small, cosy place (two tables, a row of stools by the window, with additional outside seating). When we went they had two vegan mains, three vegan cakes.

Delicious coffee and cake - Edit
Popped in last week for a coffee and cake with a friend. Wow! They have so many vegan options savoury and sweet instead of just one option which I'm use to! Will definitely be calling in again.
