Still the fastest and the best

From a small restaurant on Dempster to the current large space, Pita Inn continues to uphold its reputation for fresh, friendly, and fast food. It really shows up in minutes. Try the Impossible kefta kabob plate or sandwich, the veg combination plate, the gourmet falafel plate, or (my favorite, for nostalgic reasons) the Gourmet Falafel Sandwich. They have a Veggie Lunch Special, and recently their online menu has added the following symbols: CONTAINS DAIRY, CONTAINS GLUTEN, CONTAINS NUTS, CONTAINS SESAME SEEDS, VEGAN, VEGETARIAN. Add a small order of Baba Ganough, you won't regret it. Dine in or delivery.

Pros: Very fresh, Very fast, Delicious

Cons: The bigger restaurant isn't as cozy as before

Mediterranean favorite

I love the falafel and hummus, and the Impossible kefta is fantastic. When getting takeout, they even pack my kefta in a black container when all the rest of the food is in white containers.

Very nice plant based option

The plantbased option was very good. Short waiting time, friendly personal and the price is ok. And you have real plates and cutlery. no plastic, sadly rare in chicago…

Impossible Kafta!

Pita Inn is a well-loved staple of Skokie. They always had great falafel/veg options but the new(ish) Impossible Kafta options are so good and really bring them to a new level.

Cons: sometimes very busy/crowded

Impossible Kefta Kabob is a great new option!

The new Impossible kefta kebob platter is fully vegan--Impossible kefta meat, rice, jerusalem salad, and pita. It's really, really tasty, and I love that I didn't have to modify my order at all.
Highly recommend this new dish. As of July 2020, this Skokie location is the only one with the new Impossible kefta on the menu.

Pros: great new vegan options, friendly staff, affordable
