Pinxin Vegan Cuisine - Edit

While staying in Penang I recommend this restaurant for the excellent vegan meals. I liked especially the Dry Noodle with special homemade sauce served with black fungus and ginger, dark sauce hericium mushroom, bok choy, and organic beancurd with home made chilli

Pros: Very tasty vegan items, Very spacious and well laid out setting

Cons: Vegan Ice Cream is not in the menu, Vegan cakes were sold out on both days I went.

Great food, great space - Edit

Really amazing place. The interior is so nice, it feels trendy without being pretentious or over the top. And the food is incredibly reasonably priced. We paid 60 ringits for 2 mains, 2 sides and a cup of tea. This is cheap, even for backpackers (which we are not). We live in Hong Kong and we agreed that an equivalent place in HK would have been 3, perhaps 4 times the price. Service was fantastic, my non vegan girlfriend loved it- a must go

Pros: Vegan, service, delicious food, really good prices

Cons: none

Vegan heaven - Edit

So happy to have found this amazing place! The food was out of this world, good portions, lovely staff and reasonably priced for backpackers like us. After exploring the famous Penang food markets and finding very few vegan options there we were disappointed to have to miss out on the amazing food culture we've heard so much about here. That's what makes this place so awesome - they've taken the traditional dishes and made them vegan so that us do-gooders don't have to miss out! And OH MY GOODNESS have they done a delicious job. We are already planning our return to sample everything from breakfast to burgers to desserts. It really is vegan heaven in Penang.

Pros: It's all vegan, Fairly priced, Beautiful interiors

Cons: Nothing!

Amazing vegan cafe! - Edit

This place not only had phenomenal food but the overall atmosphere and staff were also incredible. I got to try some awesome vegan versions of Malaysian food, had a to die for cheesecake, and a delicious espresso! Seriously the coffee was amazing and I'm not usually a coffee drinker. Its a bit expensive, I paid 70 RM for a drink, soup, appetizer, cake and espresso, but I was very full afterwards! I'd highly recommend.

Pros: A mix of local and western food options, the cake,

Cons: Expensive

Delicious Wholefood Malaysian Food but Pricey - Edit

Visit on 26 August 2018:
A vegan restaurant that serves vegan versions of Malaysian food, a small selection of western food and VEGAN CAKES!

The place is definitely gives a more upscale ambience. Staff is friendly and helpful. Love the selection of vegan cakes they have, but is it really expensive. I love that their food are all made with fresh wholefoods, very thoughtful. The food is pretty good, but prices are on the high side (although it is comparable to similar non-vegan restaurants). The green tomyum I had was delicious.

When I had the Hokkien More and Clear Soup Noodle at their previous location, it was pretty bland and overrated (and prices were lower there too). Perhaps they have improved the recipe on these.

3 stars because the cakes are way pricey. Parking is pretty limited. As a vegan Penangite tho... I will probably find myself here again.

Pros: quite unique selection, VEGAN CAKES, made with fre

Cons: Expensive, Slightly Overrated, Limited Parking Spo

delicious but a bit pricey - Edit

Everything about this place was great! I like that they offer traditional local food to try, vegan style. I had been wanting to try laksa since being in Sarawak! For me, it is a little pricey. Definitely worth to go once though...to try new foods...or more if its in your budget!

Delicious food and friendly staff - Edit

I had lunch and dinner yesterday at Pinxin. At first I ordered the salad and then the Jawa Mee soup. For the salad they didn't have nuts or cranberries anymore, so they wouldn't have served it usually. But they did for me which I really appreciate! They brought me two dressings to taste and then I got another one to the salad which was probably one of the tastiest I ever had. For dinner I wasn't sure what to get and again they really helped me, brought me things to try and in the end I ordered Jawa Mee which was delicious!!

Both times the food came very quickly. It was tasty and filing, the staff was nice and considerate.

Worth every penny!

Pros: Quality, Quickly served, Taste

Cons: Salad a bit pricey but dressing made up for that

Loved it!! - Edit

The food here was different to anything I've ever eaten before. I don't normally go for Chinese/Malay food but I really wanted to try some local cuisine. It tasted absolutely wonderful and was one of the best dishes I've eaten in Penang.
I also really liked the atmosphere, it's a really nice place to sit. The service is very fast.
Also had a dessert which rounded our meals off very nicely. I wish I'd had time to go back and try more of their amazing food.
All vegan!!

Pros: Unique, local dishes, All vegan, Fast service

slow and unfriendly service, nice food - Edit

When I arrived they were moving furniture around and therefore pretty busy, that gave me plenty of time to check out the menu tho ;) they have plenty of options, yet some labels would be nice (especially regarding the spicyness 🔥). I ordered the noodles named after the place and a cold matcha latte (highly recommend! also: get a drink, you'll need it). Finished the latte earlier than the noodles and tried to order another, which took ages and when I finally got it my dish was beyond cold. Trying to pay in the end took me over half an hour, even though I was the only guest. The waiters were just sitting around at their phones, seeming annoyed when I tried to order the bill.
The ambiente is nice and the food was good and unusual, yet the service sadly was way below average and will probably hold me back from coming back, even though the food would make me want to.

Pros: atmosphere, choice of dishes

Cons: service, prices

Magical place - Edit

This is my second visit in a week and if youre in Penang you just HAVE to go here. The menu is a good size with healthy vegan versions of Malay cuisine, but also western choices. I came back today for the vegan burger which comes with baked sweet potato fries and vegan mayo. Jeeez this was so good! Id go as far as saying it's one of my favourite burgers I've ever had. I came last week for the laksa which was also amazing. They also have a load of vegan cakes that look divine. The staff are super friendly here too and the young guy recognised me saying "welcome back" so it's nice they take notice of their customers! and the restaurant itself is beautiful, contemporary and modern, as well as the vegan posters inside. Hands down one of the best vegan places I've eaten at in 5 months of travelling se Asia, and maybe even ever!

So big portions of yummies! - Edit

We came tonight at 9.20pm when the kitchen is closed already. Surprisingly they still serve us a Jawa mee.
The bowl is big even for my husband who complained before that in vegan restaurants he cant get full. And so delicious. Lots of tofu, nuts and mushroom with noodles in a tick soup.
We also try a number of beverages. I had a long nostalgicly missed taste of latte with my heart at peace knowing that its soy milk.
Thank you so much.

Pros: Forthcoming staff, Super cozy couch, Kari mee coming soon, they promise.

Cons: Cakes are expensive

Delicious all vegan menu! - Edit

Came here on the 1st of April. I tried the hokkien mee, asam laksa, chee cheong fun, satay sticks and lemongrass lemon ginger tea. Prices are reasonable. Taste is amazing. My favourite out of all I ordered was the satay! Their menu is 100% vegan. Atmosphere of the place is also very peaceful. I had the chance to talk to the owners and they were very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Delicious Food Made with Love - Edit

Pin Xin Vegan Delight offers healthy, vegan versions of Penang local delights in a light, bright and modern setting. The menu will expand to include rice dishes such as Bak Kut Teh and Nasi Lemak in the next couple of weeks.

The food is made without MSG, onion, garlic, egg or dairy products. We are not fans of really spicy dishes, and for us it was just right, although you can spice it up!

We loved the food and the ambience. A must try!

Best Vegan Place To Go - Edit

Really love the delights here especially their vegan Hokkien Mee and Asam Laksa. What's best is they do not use any MSG. They use brown sugar and himalaya salt and their noodles are handmade noodles (which has no white salt of sugar). Also love their side dishes like the signature Kuang Chiang(must try!), rojak platter and the satay too. I was very impressed with their sauces as they're all homemade and honestly, I can't tell that it's vegan. It is as good and perhaps better than the original one. Pinxin Vegan also spreads really positive message as to heal the earth and heal ourselves. I felt good energy during my time there. Highly recommended!

Pros: Value Food, Healthy, Friendly Staff
