I told the Service, that I‘m eating vegan. We shared a vegetarian starter platter, there he chooses more vegan options and only the cheese was unvegan, so my husband had to eat it.
Read moreFor main menu I get a vegan Naan and a vegan green Curry. It was very delicious and a lot of food.
The service was great, so friendly, we loved it.

We were looking for something nice to eat after our hike, and we definitely found the right place. The dishes aren’t clearly labeled (only with vegetarian), but after a quick question to the server he could tell us what we could eat. He even made the garlic naan vegan for me. We chose the onion bahji as a starter. Everything was delicious and in combination with the hike we also finished the large portions (except the rice). However, if you can’t finish it, you can also buy a to go container for a dollar.

Great curry, fabulous value - Edit
Very knowledgeable staff, could explain what could and couldn’t be made vegan and why. We had amazing chickpea curry, biriyani and even vegan garlic naan!

This review is from a visit in 2012. I was vegetarian at the time and did not know Happy Cow existed.
Read moreI dined in at Pinch of Spice once and got a take away once while I was in Picton. Food was tasty and you could select your spice level. The service and atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and the price was average. Really enjoyed my curry and the naan.

Pretty good curry place for rural NZ. Full range of vegetarian and vegetable based curries you would expect. Good naan bread. Good option in Picton for dinner or takeaway.
