Lovely cafe in Santa Cruz - Edit
We stopped here for a quick bite on the way to the airport for our flight home and after how much we’d struggled to find things elsewhere we were so pleased to have options here. Foot tasty, quickly served and very pleasant staff!

We were here for lunch and had a burger and the dish of the day (rice with vegetables and tofu). Both dishes were okay, but not great. The staff was nice though and it was quite cheap.

Unscheinbar ist nur der Preis - Edit
Waren hier zum Lunch. Das kleine Café versteckt sich etwas zwischen 2 Häuserfassaden. Ist aber sowas von den besuch wert! Das Essen ist frisch zubereitet, schmeckt hervorragend und ist preis leistungstechnisch vmtl das beste was man vegan/vegetarisch auf der Insel bekommen kann. Wir kommen definitiv wieder 🙂

We had a vegan whole wheat empanada filled with black beans and seitan. It was not bad, bur not full of flavour. Husband had a vegetarian quiche which was okay.

There are many deeeeliiiiciious cakes. Also vegan and gluten free! I asked for a protein salad and I get a huge one with beans and tofu! The dish of the day (vegetarian lasagna) was creamy and tasty, too.

Vegan cheese available for modifications on a lot of their menu. We got 2 toasties. Mine had banana cinnamon and vegan cheese. His had vegan cheese olive and tomato.

We were nearby and decided to drive here. Great decision! I had the menu of the day with courgette soup, a main dish of rice with tofu, peppers and curry and a melon and orange juice. I also had a sausage, vegan cheese and dried tomato pastry. My partner had the vegetables quiche, all delicious! It calls itself vegetarian but many options are vegan or can be made vegan 🙂

Great little vegetarian cafe set back on a quiet street, lovely outdoor seating area. Went for lunch with my boyfriend (vegan) - staff were really friendly and able to explain which options could be made vegan as it is not displayed on the menu. We both went for a black bean and mushroom burger, one with cheese and one without. I had a peach cheesecake and my partner had a vegan chocolate and walnut cake. All this with 2x Coral beers and 2x Coral ciders for less than 20 euros. We’ll definitely be returning on future trips to Madeira!

The most selection that we’ve seen so far for vegan baked goods. We had mushroom black bean empanadas and olive quinoa roll with vegan cheese and a chickpea sandwich, also a black bean mushroom sandwich, and even brought home some coconut carrot cake back to our room. soy, oat, and almond milk was available for coffee. Indoor and outdoor seating. very reasonably priced. Great area for a walk.

Super cute cafe with many vegan Options although not labelled on the menu. We had noodles and a burger as well as vegan brownies. Plant milk is avaliable. Burger was alright, brownie was very good!

Well worth the trip from Funchal - Edit
Lovely little place with really helpful staff and some fantastic value food. We both picked the daily special without even looking at the rest of the options so don't know the cost of other items. The special was a Francesinha hot sandwich (vegetarian and vegan versions available) which were filled with mushrooms, tofu and sausage and topped with tomato sauce and melted cheese - delicious and filling, though a little chewy as the crusts are left on the several layers of bread! We also shared a huge slice of yummy peanut butter and chocolate 'cheesecake' and with two wines, a small water and two small coffees our bill was under 22 euros. Result - two very full and very satisfied customers.
