A must stop in the region - Edit
If you are enjoying the touristic attractions in the region of Morretes, you should stop to eat at the Pierre Vegetariano. It is awesome to be able to have a vegan version of traditional regional dishes, such as Barreado. They also have other traditional Brazilian foods like Muqueca, Feijoada and others.

A gem amidst the sea of dead animals - Edit
A visit to Morretes is synonym to having great local food for many. For years this wasn't true for vegans, with a couple of places offering vegan options as a side-thought. However, this is no longer true.
Read morePierre Vegetariano, like its counterpart in Curitiba, offers a delicious buffet with vegan versions of all the local dishes. The options are so plentiful you will have a hard time tasting all of them. The taste is superb, the price is fair and the atmosphere is very nice and not pretentious.
