Legitimate ethical elephant sanctuary with a vegetarian buffet lunch! - Edit
This is an amazing sanctuary who keep animal / human interaction to a minimum. There are countless elephant "sanctuaries" in Thailand who claim they are ethical but they aren't. Please be VERY careful making sure you only visit PES as there are so many that have very similar names.
Read moreThe founder cares about animals so much they even offer a vegetarian buffet lunch! It's delicious and a huge treat in Thailand where you have to be extremely vigilant about trying to exclude fish sauce / paste in your food. There were about 12+ curries and noodles and stir fries to choose from, and only 2 had egg. The rest were vegan. They also offer fruit and other snacks (though not sure if all the crackers, etc, are vegan.) Such a great sanctuary and the veg buffet was icing on the cake!
Pros: Huge vegetarian buffet, so many vegan options , Delicious food, Possible to watch elephants while you eat!

Delicious Meal & Incredible Tour - Edit
We absolutely LOVED our experience here. We did the morning tour, so we arrived around 9:30am. Breakfast was lots of fresh fruit, cereals, granola, juices, and a variety of packaged snacks (chips, cookies, etc). I would call it more like a breakfast snack, but that's because I don't like cereal, so I didn't have a grain with my meal. But the pineapple juice was delicious, and the bananas divine, so I was completely satisfied.
Read moreThen we had a 1 hour tour (small group of eight) where we got to walk around and meet all the elephants. We learned their names, stories, and about their personalities. So amazing.
The lunch buffet had over a dozen items available, and there were only 3 that were not vegan (contained egg). I ate two full plates and a large glass of pineapple juice (again).
HIGHLY recommend.

Elephant experience 🙏 - Edit
We wanted to spend time at an elephant sanctuary and this one seemed to be the most ethical. No riding of elephants here. A buffet was provided after three hours and it was all vegetarian and delicious.
Read morePros: Staff were very knowledgeable and passionate, Got close to elephants but not too close, All food provided was vegetarian
Cons: It’s a shame a sanctuary is needed

With a tour you get free vegetarian / vegan food - Edit
With a tour you get free vegetarian / vegan food. It is the only ethical elephant sanctuary in Phuket. You get a snack before the tour, tour for 1 hour, then a meal after the tour.
