Tasty vegan pho

Had mushroom and tofu pho, was good although the broth was not a flavourful as it could have been. Good service, although extremely busy at lunchtime! #Veganuary

Pros: Lots of vegan options clearly marked

Cons: Expensive (but… London), Be careful that sauces are also vegan

Pho

I’ve eaten at this location numerous times, as it is located in the Westfield mall and is convenient when shopping. Below I’ve included my overall review for this chain. It’s not a bad option but it’s just not my top option for Vietnamese food. I prefer the vegan pho over the vegan bun hué, as the latter tends to be a bit limey/sour.

Pho is a great option when you're looking for a vegan clear broth noodle soup and don't have time to go through all the mom-and-pop listings to find something a bit more authentic (and vegan). What's nice about Pho is they offer at least two vegan broths, one is closer to normal pho broth and the other is a spicy broth (but tends to be very limey). I've honestly been a bit underwhelmed by both broths at multiple Pho locations, but you can always add loads of sriracha and other toppings to your tasting. I love their tofu, which is very porous and holds a good volume of broth inside. The pho soup is made with the very thick flat pho noodles and the spicy soup is made with the thick/round noodles, like spaghetti noodles (I love this noodle option).

Great options but clueless staff

A lot of items on the menu are vegan but the staff have a hard time understanding what veganism is. Be careful about beverages

Pros: Many options and good portion sizes

Cons: Uneducated staff with fishsauce

Yum

First time eating Pho and I enjoyed it. I ordered tofu and mushroom with veggie stock - make sure to order veggie stock or it may come with chicken stock. My mum ordered the tofu and mushroom stir fry which she really enjoyed. Both quite big servings! But didn't leave feeling really heavy or full.
It's in the Westfield so not somewhere you would take a group for lunch.

Vietnamese food done well

Veggie Summer Rolls are a real treat for starters - make sure you ask for no-fish dipping sauce, then check again when you receive your meal!

The soups are superb: tofu and mushrooms (make sure you ask for veg stock!) or hot and spicy tofu and mushroom soup, which already has a veggie stock base.

I've also had the wok fried flat rice noodles noodles with tofu, veggies and mushrooms, which was large but very good. Probably the thing to have at the end of a shopping trip than at the beginning!

Altogether, one of my favourite eats.

Pros: Fast, Healthy , Tasty

Cons: Sad it's not completely vegetarian!
