Serves meat, vegan options available. Small restaurant on the main road through west Hood River. Friendly and helpful owners. Offers a few clearly labeled dishes that are vegan and/or can be made vegan, such as cashew basil, yellow curry, drunken noodles, and a pho. Most dishes can be made vegan by subbing with tofu, plus Thai iced tea or iced coffee can be made vegan by asking for coconut milk. Reported closed July 2023.

Vegan pho

Their updated menu on their Facebook clearly labeled which dish is vegan. We got the spring roll (vegan w/ rice wrapper), vegan pho, and salt and pepper tofu. They were all very delicious. The staff was very accommodating with making sure what we order was vegan (no fish sauce, oyster sauce, etc.)

Good food

My friend and I love eating here. I’ve always received good service at Pho River. I love that they can make so many items on the menu vegan. And that there is a vegan pho(!!). The food is always delicious and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.
The parking can be really tight, so I usually park down and across the street over by Dominoes and just walk over.

Pros: Many vegan options/substitutes, Friendly staff

Cons: Parking is tight
