Fantastic

A bit expensive but so many great local and imported items. Love getting British snacks and vegan specialty foods which can be hard to get other places. Sometimes I just like to go look around and see what interesting things they have !!

Big and expensive

Large store, somewhat like Whole Foods Market, selling fresh produce, ready-to-cook vegetables, bakery, deli, snacks, personal care items, beverages and lots more. Smoothie bar and lunch bar at the front. Many vegan products, including cheeses displayed among the dairy cheeses. The items I viewed with the intention to buy seemed pricey, and I departed having bought nothing. It appeared to be a popular place though.

Pros: many vegan products, big fresh produce section

Cons: expensive

Lots of selection

I haven't seen a store so well stocked with vegan goods in a long time. Pete's is really impressive. There are numerous vegan frozen and dry goods as well as a few (though limited) freshly prepared foods such as salads and baked goods. I had a great slice of vegan chocolate cake here.

Great vegan selection

I love all the local food and amazing vegan selection. Pete's downtown has a great cruelty-free beauty section including local products. I also appreciate the vegan specialty items such as vegan jello, protein bars and cool drinks. I haven't tried their coffee bar yet but they apparently have vegan baked goods there. They also have a smoothie bar which offers Vega and sushi which is probably my favourite vegan sushi I have ever had. The downside is that parking costs a fortune if you don't live within walking distance and also as a vegan, hate that you have to walk through so much meat and dairy to get to the vegan products.

I go here a lot more frequently now cause the bus goes right there. They have one of the best selection for vegan meat products. They carry a lot of Gardein and Field Roast. They also have a lot of other cool vegan specialty items such as chipotle vegenaise, surf sweets, nakd bars, etc. One of the best cruelty-free departments in the HRM as well.

Pros: Great cruelty free department , lots of vegan options, local

Cons: Not all vegan
