Delicious - Edit
Freshly made vegan options, good service, nice fruit juices. A small but cute place with consistently great food. We ate there twice.

THE FALAFEL, OMG - Edit
Cute, stylish little restaurant/home of a Persian couple. Lovely service and food.
Read moreA couple of vegan options only, but that's enough, because the falafel is THE Fu**ing bomb.
Delicious lentil soup as well.
Pros: Falafel, Falafel, Falafel
Cons: Could use more vegan options

Decent falafel - Edit
We had the falafel made vegan by removing the sauce. This made the dish a bit bland and you could’ve wished for some hummus or something. If nowhere else is open, it’s a decent place.
Read moreEdit: went here again after three years and they've improved! The falafel now comes with some sauces and they have more vegan options.

Get the mirza! - Edit
I ordered the mirza vegana (thanks to the reviewer below me for the suggestion) and I absolutely loved it. I went both days I was in Mindo and I also ordered one to take back to Quito with me. It was so much tastier than I imagined it would be and now I'm dreaming of it again. The fresh side veggies come with a delightful garlic sauce too.

Vegetarian and vegan food heaven in Mindo - Edit
Amazing Persian vegan-friendly food for a decent price. This place has a menu absolutely packed with vegetarian dishes, which can be easily veganized (ask for "vegano" with the name of the dish, the owner know what it means!).
Read moreMy favorites were the eggplant dish, the lentils soup and the falafel of course.
Pros: VERY delicious vegan food, Great service and hospitality, Decent price

Authentic Persian food - Edit
About half the menu is already vegetarian at this restaurant. There are a couple of vegan items on the menu (eggplant stew, falafel, and potatoes) but if you give the owners notice, they can prepare one of the Persian dishes vegan for you (specify no dairy or egg). We had a traditional celery stew made without the meat. The food is authentic (I dined with a Persian who verified that) and the owners are so lovely. The prices are really good too. It's so nice to eat a different type of cuisine in this area.

Tasty breakfast - Edit
Fortunately we found this place because nothing else was opened. We had breakfast there twice and had the very tasty Falafels and just requested another wrap. Owners are very nice and can talk english.
