Hidden Gem - Edit

My fiancé and I found this hidden gem on our van trip down the south Coast, the atmosphere in the cafe was so welcoming and the staff were lovely! There was a lot of vegan options to choose from, which we had struggled to find elsewhere. we ordered the bean burrito, salad sandwich and a tropical smoothy all were delicious! 🌞 highly recomend visiting 🌞

Pros: Relaxed beautiful atmosphere , Fast pleasant service and delivery , Yummy food

Wonderful to find a vegan friendly restaurant - Edit

Accidently found this place when searching for a coffee and saw they had vegan cake which was wonderful. I then sat down and realised it was a vegetarian café with vegan options. I took 2 vegan friends there this week and we had the tofu burger and vegan burger in a bun and my friend had the wraps. all wonderful! disappointed to find just a oat slice was vegan so we didn't have a cake. Vegan cakes are so easy to make and everyone can eat them so please lets have more choice. We all had a fresh juice as well. brilliant place and will be back very soon so please more vegan ideas chef.
Since writing this review the owners are having more and more vegan options. Lots of cakes now to choose from and new ideas for savouries. Brilliant!

Lots of vegan options ❤️ - Edit

What a great little cafe, had the vegan pancakes and so yummy, and the juice I had was spot on. Staff very friendly and prices reasonable. Will definitely return as so many vegan options.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Not 100% cruelty free, Unaware from outside the cafe that it's vegetarian

Great satay tofu burger - Edit

Stopped here for lunch on a drive from Sydney to Jervis Bay. I had the satay tofu burger which was great and a juice. My partner had a juice too and a falafel wrap - he asked for no tomato although it looks like they were premade and had tomato. They also had soy milkshakes but none of the staff could confirm if the flavours were vegan. The food service was a little slow but overall a nice meal. Sit upstairs at the bar and people watch!

Pros: Labelled vegan options

Cons: Service a little slow

A gem driving south - Edit

After Cronulla heading south from Sydney we found it quite hard to find places catering for vegans but were pleased and pleasantly surprised to find this cute place on the main street through Gerringong. The delicious big breakfast was exactly what we needed and with gluten free bread too we were in our element. We didn't try the cakes but there were 2 vegan options and both looked yummy. The coffee with almond milk was pretty good too. Lovely outdoor seating on the main street watching the world go about its business. Friendly but sleepy staff.

Pros: Big brekkie

Cons: Limited vegan options

Pros: Lots of veg options, good coffee, great value for

Cons: not enough vegan options?

Always Good - Edit

Open for Breakfast and Lunch only, Perfect Break has been around for a long time serving terrific Vego and Vegan food. Leave out the bread and Gluten Free is well catered for also. There are plenty of choices for everyone. Today, I had a Big Breakfast (Fried garlic Mushrooms, tomatoes, Baked Wedges, Avocado) Yum. Other had the Nachos (perennial favourite), Quesadillas and a Roast Capsicum and Tomatoe Stew. A selection of cake with usually at least one GF to finish off. Large servings of wholesome yummy food. Not to be missed if you are in the area.

Perfect Break Cafe - Edit

10 years ago the owners of the Natural Necessity Surf shop, Kent and Viv Ladkin, asked me to set up a vegetarian cafe for them to offer customers of the surf shop great vegetarian food. I am a qualified chef, was vegetarian for 18 years and am now vegan. It was great setting up this cafe, we had so much fun and were listed in the Sydney Morning Herald Food Guide. Its so nice to have a vego cafe on the south coast. I live in Gerringong and no longer cook at the cafe, but the current staff are great and I eat there every week. The food is so good and always fresh. Now that I'm vegan it would be great to see even more vegan options on the menu, but there is good variety. Thank you Kent and Viv for allowing me to part of the creation of this cafe. Keep up the great food, we love it.

Pros: Fresh, Large Portions, Egg free and some vegan
