Updated review 2025: They used to have a pizza with Oumph meat substitute that was actually good (when they got the order right) but now there's only ONE choice which is mostly crust with a few bits of dry greens. It is supposed to have a good vegan chiliaioli on top but they seem to always forget or never have it which makes it even more boring. The pizza is not filling at all (there's barely anything on it lol), I am a small woman and can eat the large size pizza alone.
Read moreSafe to say that I'll never eat here again and don't recommend it. Honestly just save your money, go to the supermarket nearby and visit the salad bar or find something else there. This shouldn't even be considered an option anymore.

"Peppes pizza" is a great pizza chain in Norway, however the one located in Alta is the worst. They do have several vegan food options which is great because we don't have a lot of options in this town, but I don't think they read the orders. I've visited a lot and they've put cheese on my pizza like 8/10 times even when I've clearly said VEGAN, which is sad because then they have to throw away food. I've also talked with other people that experienced the same.
Their chiliaioli is amazing!
Overall I recommend going somewhere else, but at least it's an option.

Not the best pizza I've had - not even the best Peppes pizza, but satisfied my hunger. Would like better options, but even one vegan option on the menu is better than most places around. Pizza came with no cheese (mostly, some stray bits of cheese on the edge...) but also no aioli, so quite dry. Mediocre customer service.

Good pizza and vegan brownies - Edit
I have only eaten at Peppes in Alta once. There are three vegan pizzas actually, I ordered Even Greener Garden and brownies for dessert. They did not put cheese on my pizza and I did not specify that it should be vegan - so maybe they have learned?

A good chain and like it says on the other review they put cheese on the vegan pizza sometimes. Good pizza but don't seem like they got any standard to follow as the amount of toppings on the pizza varies A LOT from time to time
