Great stop for lunch - Edit
Like all co-ops, the prices are a bit higher than box stores. Variety of selection and the staff are top notch! When I need a quick lunch or snack in town- this is my ‘go to’. I can either shop a few groceries or pickup quick organic snack fruits as they sell many indiv! (Thank you for that!). Store is always clean and has a sitting area to charge my phone.

DO NOT TRUST CO-OP “VEGAN” ITEMS!! - Edit
Beware!! They use vegan label on non vegan items! They are aware of the issue but don’t correct it. They also change recipes without updating ingredients labels. I loved the co-op but no longer trust them. They put honey in many deli salads labeled vegan. The in-house sushi makers add imitation crab to veggie spring rolls, nothing on the ingredients list. The co-op is aware but does nothing. I no longer trust anything they make in house. I don’t understand why they purposefully mislabel? Should be illegal, they could truly harm someone with allergies. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s egg in their vegan muffins and cookies. I sadly can no longer support them since I can’t trust anything is actually vegan. Super sad a health foods store doesn’t care about health foods

Lots over vegan options at the deli, bakery and the store. The deli has pre made cold options as well as a hot bar and customized items made to go. The vegan banh mi sandwich is amazing! My daughter loves the vegan chocolate chip cookies from the bakery. They have some catering that's vegan as well as cakes from the bakery. The store has a large variety of vegan foods to choose from. Definitely a great place to check out.

I absolutely love this place! The burritos are build your own made fresh for you style and the people here are so friendly! I went out of my way from MN to IL to stop here in WI at the People’s Co-op!

Not as many vegan bakery options as I expected - Edit
This is a decent sized food co-op, with all the brands and food items one would expect on their shelves. There were some good vegan sandwiches and salads at their deli, but despite a large variety of items in the bakery, I only found two vegan cookies, nothing else vegan. The cookie I had was as hard as a rock. I’d expect a better selection of vegan baked goods from a co-op this size.

Best place in LaX for vegan food - Edit
They always have vegan options at the deli (soups, sandwiches, desserts, etc.). They also have vegan items on their catering and cake order menus. Plus, it’s a coop so you can buy vegan products and groceries here. This is definitely the best place to buy vegan food in La Crosse!

This is an amazing grocery store and it has a lot of vegan options at their deli..they are very cooperative and will change your order for your dietary preferences! They also have vegan desserts there as well.
