Baja done right

They can make just about anything vegan for you and have great protein replacements.

We had the nachos and added the steak protein. Bonus points for a very tasty vegan sour cream.

Pros: Great food options , Quick service , Fun atmosphere

Cons: Tortilla chips were good but a little brittle

Vegan friendly!

Pelon’s is great for a handheld burrito, taco, or some chips and guacamole! Pretty much their whole menu can be made vegan and it is clearly labeled. I’ve had many of their burritos over the years and always find them to be very good. They also have vegan brownies, cookies, etc. making it a great choice for vegans! Overall, I would recommend checking out Pelon’s while in Virginia Beach!

Pros: Tons of vegan options , Good flavors , Cool vibe

Great options for the whole family

They can veganize pretty much anything on the menu. Both kinds of beans are vegan, and they have several vegan proteins you can switch out on any burrito (and vegan cheese). Loved having a place my son can eat a vegan quesadilla right next to his friend eating a quesadilla. I’m not sure why they don’t have better reviews… margaritas are good too. It’s a must-go any time we are in the area.

A lot of options!

This is one of my favorite places in the area. Almost everything on the menu has a vegan option. The fake meats are gardein products, the fake fish is tofu. My favorite menu item is the vegan California, the nachos are also good. The chunky guacamole is also a good option. Will spend about 15-20 dollars a person.

Pros: A lot of options

Cons: Surcharge on vegan food, Sometimes inconsistent

Don’t go

This chain used to be good when it was in Richmond. I’ve been to the Va Beach & Norfolk locations and it’s just nasty. The crowd is also very douchy. Don’t do it.
