One's of the best places in Europe ! - Edit
We came there in december, and were very to find a vegan restaurant in the region. We took the eggless omelette which is really amazing, never had one like this before ! All was very good. However, improvement can be made on desserts. The staff is really very friendly, and dog-friendly too !

Vegan Haven in Ireland! - Edit
This part of Ireland doesn't have many vegan eating out places and this fully vegan cafe in the small town of Ennis is such a welcome surprise!
Read moreNot only is it fully vegan but the food is actually amazing which is even harder to find in this part of the country.
Loads of marked gluten-free options too! The savoury food and the sweets are both top notch. Awesome interior too.
Pros: Marked gluten free options, Good prices, Fully vegan!

Best, lush & friendliest Vegan place - Edit
Have eaten here quite a few times now, and can whole-heartedly recommend!
Read moreHave taken non-vegans there with us for lunch and they all loved it too, even managed to 'convert' family members.
It is run by a very friendly & charming family.
Ambiance is great, nice decor, truly family- friendly, kids can play in special kiddies-corner, next to comfy large sofas.
Food is absolutely delish, only downside we've found so far is that we always overeat .Food & salads always fresh.
Love, love, love their desserts....Dropped in last week to get a dessert 'take-away' as liked it so much.
When in Ireland, we will definitely eat there, such a lovely place, hard to match !
Pros: the ambiance, the decor, the lovely family that run it , all of the food !
Cons: always tend to over-eat!

Great vegan restaurant in lovely town - Edit
We stopped in Ennis on our drive from the Cliffs of Moher back to Limerick, and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely and quaint town in general, and by the Peckish cafe specifically.
Read moreWe arrived at the Peckish cafe around 13:30, after the main lunch service, so the place was not full (but not empty either), and we were helped promptly. After reviewing the menu boards (see uploaded pictures) we decided to split a soup, and then ordered the sauteed rice with mushrooms and the soybean burger.
All of the good was very tasty. The soup was served hot with some garnish on top and was delicious. Carrot and red lentil was a creative combination (at least I've never had it before) and was successful.
The sauteed rice and mushrooms was not what i expected, but was indeed very flavorful. The tofu had a crispy exterior, as did the two rice cups. I felt that the prob was quite small - especially for the price (€10) - but it was plated nicely. They aimed for gourmet and succeeded nicely.
The burger was also very tasty. It was served without a bun, although with a generous portion of quinoa, and also a lettuce salad. We did ask that gingery hold the mayo, which didn't happen, but we just putit on the side.
They had a display case with delicious looking desserts, however we didn't try them (already had had too many sweetson the road trip).
There is a shop next door with organic vegetables and bulk grains/nuts/etc. Across the street there is a health food store. All seem to be under the same ownership / "Peckish" brand.
I would highly recommend visiting Ennis if you're in the area or passing by - its a lovely town. And if you do, definitely stop off at the Peckish cafe.

Eat here! - Edit
On a scale of 1 to 10, the food was f*cking amazing. We feel so lucky to have passed through Ennis to eat here. Both my partner and I ordered 2 breakfast items each bc we couldn't decide, then we ordered lunch to take on our road trip to the Cliffs. Try the tofu scram and faux egg (tofu) breakfast sandwich and the dosa and pumpkin with almond ricotta wrap for lunch. This place was inexpensive, especially considering the quality of the food and care with which it's made. Don't pass on eating here!!!

Well worth supporting - Edit
Peckish are having other events - talks, dances etc - and are open to ideas, so think about it and talk to them. They're a lovely family, very dedicated.
Read moreAfter a wobbly start, their food and service are now excellent; everything's vegan and largely organic. The food is plentiful even if the prices might look a little high on first glance. "You get what you pay for", so the saying goes.
Pros: 100% vegan, Vegan/organic wines and beers, Complete market - fresh & loose goods & wholefoods
Cons: "Organic" might not strictly mean "vegan", Only open business hours 8((, Not busy enough!!!!

Peckish, vegan promised land - Edit
Absolutely delicious food and a lovely place. Peckish offers a broad and well thought out menu. The staff are really friendly and there's a real honestly about the place at every level. A few things on the menu can seem a bit pricey but the you have to remember that "cheap" usually means taking shortcuts somewhere. But there seems to be no shortcuts or lack of quality in the ingredients and methods used by Peckish. It's value for money. The portions can be small but entirely satifying. The desserts are a case in point, small portions but absolutely packed with flavour. Sensational. I've never left wanting more.
Read moreThe place looks amazing, slightly rustic feel but modern and spotlessly clean. Outdoor seating for when the weather permits it. There's also the added bonus of their loose produce store next door Meanwell's whole food store across the square. Highly recommended for any veggie, vegan, or lover of good food in general.
Pros: Fantastic vegan menu, Friendly and helpful staff, Great looking place and location
Cons: Currently not yet open Sunday (but will be soon)

Went for brunch and had the muesli, vegan egg & sausage and French toast. Absolutely amazing. Went back for cake later which was good but one had a bit of a strange aftertaste. Overall loved the place and would definitely recommend! Decor and atmosphere was fab, staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and food was mostly outstanding.
