Worthy of 10 stars

This is now my favorite restaurant as it’s the only Ayurvedic restaurant that’s 100% organic. There are tons of vegan options. Everything is made for proper digestion and health.
I had the salad rolls served with mango chutney. Very good. Had the trio mushroom entree and tried many sides: cauliflower, eggplant and Dahl - all great with a variety of spices and flavors.
My husband and I felt light after our meal even though we ate a lot.
Their herbal Ayurvedic tea is from Sri Lanka, very good as well.
I’ll definitely be back and will be telling everyone how tasty and how good for you this restaurant is.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, 100% organic ingredients , All Ayurvedic

Cons: None

Great vegan cuisine.

A wonderful variety of vegan dishes. I did a variety of side dishes loved the spicy potato, kale salad, Dahl, actually all of it. The papadam is made with garbanzo bean flour not refined flour. Everything is prepared in Ayurvedic cooking, everything is organic and made with lots of attention and love.
After the meal we felt light and not weighed down.
This is now our favorite restaurant.

Pros: A lot of vegan options. , All organic ingredients , Great flavors

Cons: Only wish there were more restaurants like this.

Blown Away

This restaurant blew us away. Even ordering takeout we were beyond delighted. We ordered carrot salad, three mushroom curry, and the side dish mix of three. Every bite was great. The carrot salad was the most unique, it was finely shredded with a lightly sweet dressing over a bed of greens and topped with halved cherry tomatoes and beautiful radishes. It tasted great and was aesthetically the most pleasing dish—I can only imagine what it looks like when not in a to-go container! The mushroom curry was very good; it was reviewed over and over on yelp and I found it to be satisfying but not mind blowing. And the three sides were super good, the cashew cauliflower, eggplant, and mango curry (spicy!). Be sure to order the ginger rice, my dad devoured it and he’s not even a rice fan.

It was impressive how quickly they got so many dishes ready for just our order. I wish this place was fully vegan so I could give it a full five stars!

The staff were a wife/husband team who were immensely warm and accommodating. We will def be back to our new favorite spot in Santa Cruz. Oh and my dad said the complimentary dal that came with our meals was the best he ever had. I think I’d agree : )

Pros: Extraordinary cuisine, service, and menu, Mostly GF menu, Inventive dishes like ginger rice & carrot salad

Worth the drive from HMB!

I would give it 5 stars, but the app only allows 4 stars. The chef is creative and will modify items for your taste preferences. The eggplant is excellent! There is a vegan lassi. The menu is mostly vegan, but there are non vegan options for your carnivore friends. The food is organic and tasty.

Worth a Detour to Dine here

I travel from SoCal to the Bay Area a few times a year, sometimes going up the 5. I hate the 5 as dining options are horrible. So, whenever I have time, I go up the 101, and detour through Santa Cruz to stop at the Pearl of the Ocean. Finding any Sri Lankan food in the U.S. is a challenge. This is great Sri Lankan, with excellent vegan options. It is also very fresh and organic. Service is also excellent.

Pros: Great food, Large portions, Fresh and organic

Cons: Fare from home, Pricey (but organic and fresh), Often bad traffic on Hwy 1

My go-to in Santa Cruz

This is my favorite restaurant in Santa Cruz. Ayoma (the owner and head chef) uses tons of organic ingredients from the local farmers market, and she incorporates Ayurvedic principles into the dishes.

Most importantly, the food is incredibly flavorful!

Pros: Super tasty, lots of vegetables

Cons: Not very fast or cheap

Did I just see that?

Started coming here about ever 3 months (prices are high for the portion you get). Until one day I saw the owner making tea and tasting it with a spoon 3x then serving it to a customer (who was not related to her). I was in total shock. I already had watched the kitchen staff and had my doubts (see them come in from outside and then just start handling food, never saw someone wash their hands). I have never been back and will never be back. I put this same review on yelp.

they deleted my comment on yelp. Beware those with immune issues that this establishment is not safe to eat at. They eat off the silverware you use without washing it first*

Nice place

We have been here a few times. They have interesting ingredients and a lot of vegan options; limited meat items which is fine with us. Very friendly servers, and helpful in explaining the dishes. It is close to us so convenient. More oil than we would like that's pretty normal for a restaurant.

Pros: Friendly staff, Healthy options, Close tonus

Cons: More oil than we like

My favorite restaurant in Santa Cruz

I love this place! Everything here tastes delicious and the owner is super nice. The menu is essentially vegan with some meat options thrown in and I think a couple of the beverages have milk in them. The food is full of flavor and tastes very healthy. When I first started going here I had some trouble with customer service, which I suspect was due to low staffing since I haven't had this problem any time recently.

Whenever I get to pick, I pick this place. I recommend it to everyone! I give it 5/5, but for some reason the website wont let me because the restaurant is not pure vegan?

Pros: Delicious!, Healthy, Friendly Staff
