Little options and bland

Stayed at Sparking Hill for two nights and had breakfast and dinner at PeakFine. Atleast the menu does specify fully Vegan options, which are only the Roasted Roots or Gnocchi for dinner. I had the Gnocchi, and while presented beautifully, it was disappointing. The cashew cream was bland and thick, while the gnocchi was soft and stuck in my mouth.
The vegan dessert was the Terragon Peach Mousse and that was delightful!
Breakfast's vegan option was the Guac O clock, which again was disappointing. Small slice of croissant with fast food level guacamole, covered in bland salsa. They did have oat milk for tea and coffee available at the grab and go bar.

Honestly I would only return to get the dessert, but nothing else.

Barrique and Java had a falafel wrap that was delicious, and Gurney's had a stuffed pepper that was good, I would suggest going to get those instead of dining at PeakFine at your stay at Sparkling Hill.

Pros: View, Dessert, Service

Cons: Bland food, Not enough options

Okay

I’m disappointed there was very little in the way of plant based options, especially considering this is a health and wellness retreat.
The avocado toast is the only complimentary option on the breakfast menu, and it was good. There were also several different dairy free milk options at the coffee bar.

Labeled vegan option for breakfast

We did not book in advance or ask for a special vegan meal (apparently there is a "vegetarian menu available on request"?), but there was one clearly labeled vegan option for breakfast (avocado toast) which was pretty standard fair.

We did not dine here for dinner, so don't have anything to add regarding that.

My sister made sure we brought our own food (overnight oats, sliced veggies, hummus, chocolate, etc) that we kept in the room mini fridge so we weren't relying on the limited options at the resturant and this worked well.

Just a heads up! The rooms do not have coffee makers, or kettles, but there is a coffee bar available in the mornings only which had oat milk available.

Pros: The view
