Congrats St. James, mid January the wonderful food truck is opening a store front in 'downtown' St. James. We on Long Island are very blessed to have this wonderful business growing every day! Peach & Pine is now a store on Lake in St. James! - Edit
Brian & Ashley have long wanted to settle down in their own building. For one reason or another their efforts kept hitting 'road blocks'! Now, finally, w'a 'soft open' doing numerous Holiday Catering orders of Ashley's fabulous baked goods they are just about to open for Friday & W'end business!
Read moreMost of Long Island knows P & P for their vegan 'comfort' food. Their version of fried chicken done in various versions from Southern Biscuits & Gravy (my fav) to Nashville Hot to "Not Easy Being Green" (my second fav) and a dozen more along w'their ''egg" & cheese biscuits such as "Hot Lill Biscuit" are well known to LI vegans. Believe me THIS is the place to learn how unnecessary animals are in delicious food!
The store is primarily a full sized bakery to showcase Ashley's talents as a vegan baker! She made 3 kinds of Babka along w' iced biscuits and a Cranberry Orange Walnut loaf that were flying of the racks on Christmas Eve.
Hard to say which my family enjoyed more....I think it was the Cranberry Orange Biscuits...but that might be because there was only one serving of those!
While this is not a Gluten Free kitchen they do many things GF so be sure to ask if needed. Also anyone who doubts you can't have breads & pastries w'out eggs or butter has much to learn.
Try a small treat & I promise you will be back!!!❤️😋‼️

Delicious vegan comfort food - Edit
This food truck is absolutely fantastic. This was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had (It's not easy being green). It was PERFECTLY crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The buttermilk breading had a lot of flavor, and it was even topped with crispy vegan bacon. I loved the green sauce and wild arugula, it added a great touch. I would definitely recommend finding them.

AMAZING FOOD! - Edit
Finally got to try Peach & Pine food truck this past weekend as I was on Long Island visiting a friend! They were parked at Secatogue Brewery in West Islip and I got to try so many things from their menu. Everything was absolutely delicious.
Read moreFor savory food- we got two orders of wings (BBQ and Nashville hot) and both were sugar-cane-bone-in with a crispy coating. The Nashville hot were coated in a spicy dry rub and served with a spicy sauce on the side. The BBQ was a wet sauce served with one of the tastiest vegan ranch I've ever had. We got two orders of p'ork dumplings (because they were THAT good), an order of metal fries and the mother clucker which was crispy, spicy and had a well balanced slaw. Even my non-vegan husband couldn't stop raving about the food.
For desserts we had the cap'n corn cookies which were my favorite mix of sweet and salty and the cookies were perfectly chewy, just how they should be. We also tried the rainbow scone which tasted like funfetti birthday cake and the dark chocolate chip cream pie which had huge chunks of dark chocolate chips, flaky sea salt and a creamy marshmallow fluff filling- all were an EXCELLENT balance of salty and sweet. However, the show stopper by far was the key lime pie. My husband and I usually don't go for pies, but this was truly outstanding. The filling texture was perfect and unctuous, the merengue was fluffy and lightly toasted and it was truly a wonderful balance of sour and sweet. I think my favorite part was the brown sugar graham crumbles which added a crunchy texture to the pie.
The truck itself is super adorable and there were only two people who were running it (short staffed) to a packed brewery! They did their absolute best to get fresh, made to order food out to lots of customers and it was entirely worth the wait. If Peach & Pine cafe is ever parked anywhere near you it is a must try!!
Pros: The wingzzzz, Key lime tart, Mother clucker
Cons: Bit of a wait but WORTH IT

Went to the pop up and really enjoyed. Got the Hot Lil Biscuit and the Griddle. Both were great but preferred the HLB. Would recommend.
