Beautiful place for delicious food - Edit
I was looking for a place to go for lunch after I'd visited the American Museum of Natural History. It was amazing, very busy but the service wasn't slow. Delicious food and very kind staff. I would definitely go back!

Very good! - Edit
Their food is very very good, one of the best dishes I've had in New York City. Prices are average/good for the area it is in. The dishes have amazing flavours and are set up beautifully, you get full with them too. I had a lasagna and my friend had a pumpkin quiche (the quiche looked more like a cake because it was so high, but that just gave her more to eat, so it was amazing)
Read moreMy friend and I tried two different desserts (a chocolate cake and a cheese cake) and we did not like them at all, so I would not recommend going there for dessert.
Overall a very good experience if I had skipped dessert haha.
Pros: Amazing taste, Friendly staff, Good area
Cons: Didn't like the desserts

Best Tiramisu - Edit
This place is my favourite vegan café in NYC. I had lunch here Sunday afternoon (around 1pm). It was packed with people and some people were waiting in line to be seated. The servers are very friendly and cheerful. Their meals are delicious. I’ve tried tiramisu for dessert at many vegan café/restaurants. I think their tiramisu is the best!

I adore this place. You can feel the history in this restaurant. I visited 2014 the first time. I love the fact that you are able to order plain steamed or grilled veggies with different dips. That chickpea fries and the daily soups are delicious too. The cheesecake is fantastic. They staff is very helpful and friendly.

Amazing food and place. For lunch we waited 15 minutes because it gets a little bit crowded! The service is quick and staff very friendly! The food is homemade and really tasty! The place is gorgeous

Fantastic Place - Edit
After trying several Vegan places in NYC, I decided to visit this cafe. My expectations were not high after all the bad experience of other places. I have to say that everything was delicious! I first had breakfast ordering scrambled tofu with potatoes and a cappuccino. Afterwards I ordered a Caesar and two different cookies. All in all I was perfectly happy. I also liked the atmosphere and appreciated the really friendly waiters! A place to come back next time I’m in town.

Easygoing spot, great food - Edit
Excellent menu with something for everyone. Great place to bring omni friends. Baked goods and smoothies are a must. I prefer the downtown location, in terms of size and decor, but I wouldn’t skip Peacefood if I was in the area on the UWS.

All vegan, so that is great. Entree's salads, soups, sandwiches, desserts, muffins, etc. Lot's to choose from. I have eaten here many times and not had a bad meal.

Good Vegan Chicken Fingers - Edit
There was a street festival going on when we went which was nice. This place was casual with table service. We shared a plate of chicken fingers and chili with cornbread. The chili was good and we got our cornbread warmed up.The cornbread was good. We wished we had gotten a salad because the chicken was really heavy but so good. There was no bbq sauce as a dipping sauce which we thought was weird. We also got the chocolate chip cookie and brownie. My partner especially loved the brownie. I thought the cookie was good. They had many other great desserts. I wish I had gotten a piece of cake.

Love this place! - Edit
I went here and had the terrific raw pizza and the chickpea fries, but with aioli, not the dressing. All was delicious beyond belief, beautifully plated and my vegan companion and I totally enjoyed the experience and we will be back! Our waitress was attentive and caring. I liked that she cheerfully and quickly found the answers to my many questions.

Cozy and welcoming and delicious - Edit
Such a great place! It looks inviting, so that's a good start. All the staff were incredibly friendly, everything we ordered was tasty (and we'd had a long day, so ordered a lot :P ) and was the perfect spot to relax and decompress after a full day out in the city. Thanks Peacefood Cafe, can't wait to come back!!

cozy with a great menu - Edit
Perfect place to have dinner after being out in the cold all day. I ordered the un-chicken parmesan with penne with the cashew cheese instead of the daiya (not a fan of daiya) and it was really good. The cashew cheese is a paste so it was served on the side. Perfect cozy comfort food.

I heartily recommend it! - Edit
We had lunch there and we were lucky because we got a table directly when we arrived. It looked like a popular place with any type of people eating there (tourists, locals, couples, friends, families...). Friendly staff, fast service, good and healthy food. We had an avocado and tempeh sandwich, a roasted potato pizza and a cookie (this one to go). We really enjoyed this simple but delicious and healthy lunch, specially in a country where it is not that easy to find. Also if you are a tourist and walk a lot during the day, you appreciate it. Nice atmosphere, not noisy even being in central Manhattan. Average prices in NY.

this place is so delicious--a great menu too. some items are crazily over-priced tho. if you have a sweet tooth, you NEED to make an appearance here. everything is unbelievable!!!! would be 5 stars if it wasn't for all the items on the menu that i can't afford.

Food is Fabulous! - Edit
The food here is amazing. I used to love their sweets and croissants, but they stopped making a lot of the ones I liked, and the ones they have just don't compare to how great they were when they initially opened these restaurants. And it is a bit expensive. I would eat there more often if it were more affordable. The food is pretty fabulous, though.

We had the Veggie burger with fries, and it was... really tasty! Not just a little and simple burger. We really enjoyed it.
Read moreOur daughter chose the sushi dish, good if you want a light and super healthy meal.
Then we had the chocolate avocado mousse pie - a delicious raw dessert! Loved it.
The coffee was good too and in a great quantity. I'm more used to Italian little espresso cups so this one was a full mug.
We though the prices were a little expansive (15usd for the veggie burger) but the quality and quantity make the place worth the visit.
Friendly staff too, always reffilling the glasses of water.
Pros: Delicious food, Big servings, Great service
Cons: Needs greater budget than other burger restaurants
