Not great and not Japanese curry - Edit
This is not really a "Japanese curry" place as they don't serve Japanese-style curry, it's closer to Indian/Nepalese style curry.
Read moreYou can personalise your order with lots of toppings, including lots of vegetables. But it's pricey and at the end, not super good. I don't really like (non Japanese-style) curry but this was just average.
Nice to have an option for vegan food near the station though...
Also, lots of reviews mention that it's difficult to find, but don't provide explanations. So I've submitted an update to the description do be more precise. You can find it located in the B1 floor of the Joinus department store, inside the Joinus Dining B1 area accessible from the West Exit of Yokohama Station as well as from the Takashimaya department store.

my go-to solo lunch spot! - Edit
this is one of my all time favourite vegan places in Yokohama! My go-to order is the salad bowl set with rice & falafel. The salad had lots of delicious toppings (including soy meat, scrambled tofu & edamame) and it’s so filling as it’s bigger than my head haha perfect place for solo dining but not much space for big groups

Good but eh - Edit
Fast and agreeable service. Easy to order (tablet, though said tablet could be easier to manage).
Read moreThe food was filling but be careful because some fillings are a bit nauseating from being so greasy (although they taste amazing:) the fake eggs, for instance.
I must say the curry in itself (rice sauce) tastes the same as those we can get everywhere–especially the Kagome ones–literally SAME taste but cheaper. Indeed, adding just one topping here is ridiculous price-wise. As in, adding ONE (yes, ONE whole vegetable) is like 300¥...
As for the fake meat, tonkotsu was pretty bad (tasted like fish) but the fried one (my last pic) was so disgusting I felt like eating raw chicken skin.
So, I don't know. Microwave rice Kagome curry is the same and less expensive.
Pros: Fast, Filling
Cons: Some toppings are a bit queasy, Expensive under my standards, Fake meat is disgusting

Kinda bland, salad was best, service was ok - Edit
I showed up an hour before close and debated whether or not to go in since it was empty, but the staff came and ushered me in. I ordered the recommended set dinner. Curry was kinda bland, mango lassi was kinda watery and had some mango chunks at the bottom to make it mango flavored. The salad was the best part by far, but I had to remind them about it cuz they forgot the order. The caramel nuts ice cream it came with had a weird aftertaste. I didn't really feel welcome after I sat down and the service and food wasn't great 🤷🏻♀️

So much freshness in the salad bowl, and very filling. Would recommend. My partner got a curry which didn't have much in it had he not ordered falafel and wedges on the side. But he still liked the taste.

Any vegan passing through Yokohama train station that doesn’t stop for a feed here is crazy. We found it a little challenging to find, but the persistence was worth it. Very friendly staff. Excellent fully vegan options.

Fabulous curry - Edit
A completely vegan restaurant located directly in the Yokohama Train station, so extermely convenient.
Read moreWhen I went there with a friend she actually didn't know it was a 100% vegan restaurant and thought it only offers options, but to my great delight the staff confirmed to me, that everything is vegan.
I ate a curry with salad and ice cream as dessert and everything of this was a pure delight.
Especially the curry was extremely delicious, definitely a place you want to got while visiting Yokohama.

Satisfying and fast - Edit
So delicious, fresh, and no wait. You can have a large curry and small salad or small curry and large salad. A hit with kid and adults alike. Healthy, tasty, and filling. The tomato curry is a more Indian flavor which I like.

I love that you can customise your plate.
Read moreI like the roasted veggies and tofu Katsu on top.
I find the portion a bit small tho if you are very hungry. I never have to wait at this place. Even on a weekend you get in very fast.
For someone who isn’t good with hot foods like me, they have a sweet tomato curry as well.
The menu changed a bit since the name change. They don’t offer the tempeh anymore🥲

Possibly our favourite meal in Japan! - Edit
I saw the reviews for this place and knew we had to try it on our day trip to Yokohama. And it exceeded my expectations. I had a set meal of a curry (with added karage and vegan cheese), salad and ice cream and an added drink for ¥2,300 and it was huge!! I struggled to eat it all but it tasted so amazing. There was a lot of hype around the ice cream and that also didn’t disappoint. It was full of local residents too which I have found to be rare in lots of vegan restaurants, they normally have tourists as customers. I see this as a sign of true quality that Japanese locals, where a vegan diet is rarer than in the west are choosing such delicious food over traditional Japanese curries! Seriously, it’s worth the hype! Staff are so kind and accommodating too.

Excellent curries, long waits at peak times - Edit
Being in Yokohama station means that, like the other station restaurants, there can be quite the queue for tables. We tried to go for lunch on a Sunday and were told it would be at least 30 minutes' wait. However, at 5:30pm on a weekday it was almost empty, so pick your time if you're not keen to wait!
Read moreThe at-table tablet ordering system is easy, and there are lots of customisations to choose from. We had the Japanese curry with roasted veg, and the curry with roasted onion and cheese. The cheese is a sort of vegan fondue that comes melted in a separate jug for you to pour on, and is very tasty. The curry itself is pleasant, though perhaps a little too much of one thing if you don't order vegetables to go in it. Five stars for offering an extensive and well-prepared plant-based menu in Yokohama, though!

It is in the basement area of the shopping centre next to Yokahama station (West exit). The staff will provide an English menu and switch the order screen to English.

Great curry options - Edit
We came here for a late lunch after a morning out and about in Yokohama and really enjoyed our meal.
Read moreWe got three mains: spice curry with katsu tofu, spice curry with vegetables and a Japanese curry with katsu tofu. The spice curry was well seasoned and felt quite similar to other Japanese curries I have tasted and tried to make myself. The Japanese curry was similar but a bit spicier. The katsu tofu was excellent and the vegetable selection was quite varied in the vegetable curry. The little side salad that came on the plate was well dressed too.
I got a ginger ale to drink which was perfectly pleasant and my partner got an iced chai which she really enjoyed, it had quite a strong cinnamon taste too.
It's not the easiest place to find initially but once you actually get yourself into the basement floor in the food court area it's pretty easy to get to.

Great Curry - Edit
As mentioned by others, this one was hard to find. I followed the West gate exit from which you have to take the escalator/stairs up to the first floor. Instead of exiting the station, you turn left where you'll enter the JOINUS mall. Find the stairs to the right that will take you to restaurants located at B1F. From there, go right until you see passage with restaurants left and right of you. Follow it and you should find this restaurant to your left.
Read moreWe ordered two sets of Spinach Curry with various toppings and were happy overall. The salad, especially with the dressing, was super tasty and the tonkatsu tofu was the best I've had. The curry was good but didn't blow me away. This was the first time I tried a soy yoghurt lassi and I loved it. The ice cream at the end was okay-ish - we picked the caramel nut one and it tasted slightly bitter, perhaps the caramel burned.
Rating: 5/5 Overall really good

Great Tofu Katsu Curry - Edit
Everything was fantastic, from the salad to the tofu katsu curry. I tried the spinach curry, which tasted great but was lacking in spice (the menu said it was medium). Luckily, there was "hot spice" on the table that really kicked it up a notch. Just a heads up, you need to order the meal set, which includes a drink, salad, and dessert, and the tofu katsu is an extra. The restaurant can be a little hard to find since it's in the basement of the shopping center at Yokohama station. The staff were super friendly and had English menus available. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone in the Yokohama area.
