Just a Thai restaurant - Edit
Staff understand concept of veg-meal, just ask for a meal without eggs. Slightly cheaper than Bamboo bistro. Outdoor sitting without wifi. I had pad thai and some tempura veggies, it was OK but nothing extra special.

I visited 4 of the 5 places recommended on HC in khao sok and 3 of them were excellent Pawns being one of those esteemed few.
Read moreThere are lots of vegan or veganable dishes dotted around the menu. A thai curry or dish with the option to choose veg or tofu rather than meat or fish. The spring rolls were homemade, delicious and I was informed they are Jae. Tempura vegetables I was also advised is vegan although I didn't try them. The pad Thai I had and something cha (which was very strong with ginger to my delight) were both delicious. Another place I would definitely return to.

I got the stir fried vegetables with cashews and rice for between 120-140 baht. They also have a pumpkin curry I want to try. Great vegan options!

The tastiest food I’ve had in Khao Sok so far. The staff understand vegan and vegetarian and items on menu are pretty clear. The massaman curry with tofu was the most delicious curry I’ve had here and I confirmed it does not contain fish sauce.

Unlike the previous review I felt that the home made chips were in fact crinkle cut frozen extra deep fried. However the tofu, potato and coconut curry was probably the best thing I've tasted in ages.

Best and only place for vegan food in khao sok! - Edit
Easy to find along the main road, next to lots of hotels. No WiFi or fans but it's in the shade so never a big problem. Literally the only place to get decent vegan food in khao sok. Run by a lovely older woman who knows what vegan means. Recommend you try her home made chips, vegetable temura, stir fry tofu and pad Thai! Reasonable prices.
