I am a vegetarian and this is my favorite place in new york. I would come here for a special treat every day. Their soups are divine (and sometimes vegan) and I love their non-vegan but very vegetarian sweets.
I came here today and asked if they had any vegan options, and was told "we are really not a vegan place." The place looks charming, and I see on the menu that they have sorbets (but no vegan ice creams) and a couple of vegan savory items (a soup, an avocado mash). But if you are consulting Happy Cow to find a place that caters to those who want vegan food, this place will probably fall short of the mark--and there are so many other good places nearby.
